I'm definitely gonna get this. I just hope they'll also moe more to TV franchises later. Phineas and Ferb is a good point to start but I sure hope for Kim Possible to follow and of course the Afternoon shows.

It makes no sense that they aren't doing a Wreck It Ralph playset. The fact that there isn't a decent video game for a MOVIE ABOUT VIDEO GAMES is absurd. The cheap recreations of the games from the movie on the Disney website were better than anything else released They should be doing a Frozen one too instead of just having figures for the toy box.

I'm worried the toy box mode will get old unless you're playing with a bunch of friends and the individual figures might not be worth it.

I actually think just the opposite - I think the playsets will be a bunch of fun, but for a limited time. Once you finish the missions, that's about it. The Toybox, on the other hand, will offer so much potential to never get boring. They'll continue adding new Toyboxes and new challenges and new characters and new toys. Disneyland and a number of other pre-created toyboxes will be available right away, with more added. You don't have to be playing with other people to play in their toyboxes too, so as long as people keep creating fun new things, it will never get boring!

It seems there's only about 3 or 4 of us that post in this topic. I'm curious why no one else seems interested? There's definitely a lot of interest on the facebook page, and the members of the Infinity fan forum are almost crazed over it... why not here?

I don't know. Speaking for myself, I'm neither a big gamer nor a figurine collector so this project doesn't really appeal to me. I'm not too fond of the character redesigns either.

I'm both (well, moderately), I just have no interest. But I've already given my opinion, I guess. I might buy the TLM figures once they actually get around to Disney films (if they're not hideous).

I'm not a super huge gamer, but I do tend to be a collector. As interesting as the game seems, it's the financial aspect that is almost making me dread becoming invested in Infinity. Since I'm in the process of trying to save money for a big move, among other priorities, I'm not so sure I can afford to buy a new release game as well as the upkeep of the sets, figures, etc. It might just wind up being on the Christmas list for now.

Disney Infinity's Facebook page has reported and issue with the PS3 Version of this

We have learned that there is a network issue related to the 1.01 patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Disney Infinity. This is not a software-related issue, and we are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. Players with the PlayStation 3 version of Disney Infinity are still able to play single-player and multi-player co-op modes of the game by removing the patch and turning off their Playstation's network communications. These instructions can be found below. We are working diligently to resolve the issue and will update you as soon as we have more information.

To remove the patch:
1. Go to the Game menu of the XMB
2. Open the Game Data Utility folder (near the top of the list)
3. Highlight the Disney infinity icon with the characters background (this is the patch)
4. Press the triangle button on the wireless controller
5. Select the delete option
6. When asked “are you sure you want to continue?”, select YES
Patch is now deleted.

To turn off network communication
1. Go to the Settings menu of the XMB
2. Open the Network Settings menu (last on the list)
3. Select Internet Connection
4. Highlight “Disable” and press the X button on the wireless controller
Network is now disabled

Like I said, I'm not getting this anytime soon, but perhaps in January or February I'll give it a shot, when I have a little more money.

Got mine today, and let me tell me you guys... it's so fun. I'm genuinely impressed, and super excited for the potential it has. I've played for probably 5 or 6 hours today and I feel as if I've barely begun scratching the surface of this game. And holding the figures, they're SO nice. Beautiful little collectibles. I will be glued to my Xbox for the foreseeable future.

That sucks about the PS3 issues they're having. Hopefully they get it fixed soon. But glad to see it's getting nothing but rave reviews. I've haven't seen anything less than 8/10! Anyone who's on the fence, I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in Disney and/or games.

Oh also, the intro level blew me away. I don't want to spoil anything, but it's pretty much the absolute greatest way they could have possibly set up a "Disney" game.

They had Cinderella as a power up chip thing ,but they are in sealed packets and you don't know what you are getting until you open it. I don't have the game yet.


I hope it doesn't have supply issues like Skylanders. I can't find Lightcore Hex and Lightcore Pop Fiz cause no store around here has them. That's what I don't want to happen with Infinity is not being able to find certain characters and addon packs.

I cracked. I saw it in the store and walked out with it, and two power disc packs. SO glad I'm working at getting a lot of work soon >.<

I don't have a ton of time to play it right now, but so far one game I tried (Paintball Brawl) was pretty fun.

For power discs, I currently have the following:

- Alice in Wonderland 'Wonderland Dome'
- Lilo and Stitch 'Blaster Weapon'

So far all of the different playsets have had multiple character options. I can't say much for Frozen, but Tangled might be able to have Flynn and Gothel with the little world hub, and Wreck-It-Ralph could always have Ralph and Calhoun (or Felix, or King Candy) for that hub.

Always a chance for it, unless Disney etc. has confirmed it.

What? And we only get figures of Ralph and Vanellope? What a load of bull. Just because it didn't do Lion King numbers or win the Best Animated Film Oscar/Golden Globe (instead of stupid Brave) doesn't mean Disney has to give Wreck-It Ralph the short end of the stick!

Anyhow, I ended up getting the game for the Wii U (probably the only one who did so, let alone OWNS a Wii U) and I gotta say it's loads of fun. Of course, the gameplay reminds me of the Toy Story 3 video game.

Now, I just hope we get new characters/playsets soon. Ad not just the contemporary/recent Disney films. Classic ones, too. Like Cinderella, Snow White, Pinocchio, Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid, etc. and not just in the form of power discs, I want to see legitimate figures/playsets inspired by those movies and more.

I would also love to see some figures/playsets for Lilo & Stitch, Bolt and The Princess and the Frog.

They basically have confirmed it, and if you notice, the Rapunzel and Vanellope figures have the toy box logo on the packaging next to them, which basically means they're toy box exclusives.

I think after Toy Story in Space they're done with playsets until new movies come out, like The Good Dinosaur and Big Hero 6. The only other movies I could see them doing a full playset for are big hits like Aladdin, The Lion King, Finding Nemo, etc. MAYBE Peter Pan with the popularity of Jake and the Neverland Pirates, but that doesn't really fit the target age group. I wouldn't count on much though.

Stupid question, I'm sure, but to be able to play with a certain character, you would have to buy the toy version of each character? There are no other charcters to play with besides Sparrow, Sully and Mr. Incredible in the starter set? It looks like a cool game, but it will be crazy expensive if one is to buy all the characters eventually.

And how about those disc's available for purchase - one disc equals the possibility to play in a new Disney world?

An Update on the PS3 issues from Disney Infinity's Facebook page

As of August 20th we have deployed a new patch for Play Station 3 players experiencing certain issues including freezing, hitching, corrupted game saves and crashes.

Please follow these steps:

Turn on your Console
Connect Online
Insert your Disney Infinity Game Disc
As soon as you load the game should prompt you with the update
Please Download the Update
Enjoy Disney Infinity!

Please note: The patch does not fix corrupted game saves, so for players with corrupted game saves please delete them and start your Infinity experience anew. Also, make sure to Take Ownership of your figure from the pause menu.

We thank you so much for you patience while we worked on this. Now, go ahead and get playing!

Based on what? This is an ongoing thing. I would be surprised if they didn't dive into all of them at some point. They're likely just saving them when sales start to dip. Right now there's no danger of that happening.
