@jediliz: I want the plush too! But then when I think about it, "what the heck am i going to do with a doll?!" lol
I collect disney plushes sometimes. I've got Thumper from the Bambi release 6 years ago and I've got Flounder from the Little Mermaid release 5 years ago I think it was. Dumbo will make a great addition.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

@Barbossa: oh that elephant was Dixie. I felt bad because she was an attraction. People were in line to ride her. I wanted to walk the lap with her or something and pet her trunk but I don't think they would have let me so I just took her picture.

@jediliz: oh that makes sense then! You've got a whole collection going! Do you collect the plushes at the Disney store?

So has anyone got it yet? I'm going at 12 pacific standard time though so it's 9:24 now. I'm on pins and needles!! :D

I ordered mine from Amazon, it went out for delivery at 7 am (almost 3 hours ago) from Concord to Berkeley. For those of you unfamiliar with the San Francisco Bay Area, those are pretty close! Hopefully I'll get it in the next couple hours!

Picked it up at Toys'r'us with no problem using the coupon, spending $15 on it. :-)

I also picked up Bridesmaids. LOL, talk about a diverse evening of movie watching.

The plush was very popular at my local Best Buy. Opened at 10, and by 10:50 there were only 3 plushes left (one of which I got). With coupon the combo pack came to something like $19.45. By the way, the plush rang up for $5 before the computer packaged it together.

Been reading that the plush was in very low stock at most stores today. Reminds me of the Pascal plush when Tangled was released. It was really hard to find. I don't know why Best Buy has been like this with free items lately. The plush toys used to last for days, and they would get a lot of them at each store.

Still its a nice plush if you manage to find one.

Went to Best Buy when they opened at 10 and the display only had 6 plushes total (3 on each side). Thankfully, I was lucky enough to get one. With those exclusives it's almost as if you have to rush to the store when they open to hopefully get one. Otherwise they sell out in less than an hour and you're just SOL. It's just terrible!

On a side note, the Dumbo plush is pretty cute. He's a bit bigger than I thought he would be (especially after the size of the Despicable Me minion and unicorn plushes). So that was a nice surprise. :)

I'm thinking that I'll probably pass on this release for the time being. Dumbo isn't my favorite film, but it's definitely charming and a great way to spend an hour. I would definitely like to add it to my collection eventually, though. I'm so glad that the first five DACs are on Blu-ray :D

I went to Toys R Us but they didn't have the DVD/Blu-ray combo pack (the one in the DVD casing) so I went to Target and it comes with a coloring/activity book lol I gave that to my brother. Finally Dumbo 70th anniversary!

My dad and mom and I were visiting a zoo in the city where my sister lives and on a break from shopping at another store, he ran me to one Best Buy, where they did not have any plush dumbos left. So, when we got closer to my sister's house, we ran to another Best Buy and they had a few plush dumbos left, so I got my Blu Ray/DVD combo pack there in the Blu Ray case. I have watched about half of it. And the plush is really cute! I was also able to use my $5 off coupon.

I was at another store before I went to Best Buy and I saw some lady picking up two copiies of Spooky Buddies....and I said "Dumbo is a classic" trying to get her to look at Dumbo. I don't think she understood me. I really wish I had said, or even mumbled, "It was made during the Walt era and its not a stupid direct to video movie."

I wonder how many people surpassed a walt cartoon classic for that stupid buddies movie.

Okay, I'm without a coupon, because my dad's computer is apparently a bitch and won't install Coupon Printer, so I'm gonna try at the library tomorrow.

Hopefully, that's the day I get the movie on Blu-ray. I only hope my youngest brother will watch Dumbo and not be brainwashed by those clusterf***s called direct-to-video things.

Really, I only think John Lasseter did half the job when it came to ending direct-to-video Disney films! And to be honest, the Air Buddies movies HAVE to go! :(

@jediliz: Haha she must be a crazy dog lady. I saw that at target/toys r us today too (Man toys r us is really good on dvds but their toys are expensive.. go figure). You should have said to her "omg i love this movie, you dont even understand!" haha she might have been frightened but at least she'd look at the movie lol

Right, um...

I'm currently watching the previews on the Dumbo Blu-ray, which, by the way, I got at Target for about $24. (And that's without the coupon.) However, there's one preview that really irks me; ANOTHER Air Buddies movie. Only this time, they're in Egypt.

Come on, Disney! We really could do without another Air Buddies movie! But no; you just don't know when enough is enough! :(

For some, this has been known for some time now, for me personally since it was revealed that Spooky Buddies was in development. But yes, this really needs to stop. The series never seems to end and it's absolutely mind boggling that it's popular enough for Disney to think it needs to continue.

Back on the topic of Dumbo, I'm glad it's finally out, it looks great and it's very nice to have the first 5 DACs on Blu-ray

Got the Blu-Ray Tuesday at Target with the free Activity Book and noticed the copyright date on the book is 2009. I did a few of the puzzles for kicks even though they do not match what you get in a PennyPress book.

Have not watched the movie yet, but I have been thinking of moving some of my Disney DVDs that I own on Blu-Ray into a box so I can have more shelf space.
