this poster is from impawards.com their posters tend to be a bit altered sometimes in color. check the color of the poster on apple's website and it has a totally different feel. i suspect that impawards received an altered version of the poster because it is definitely a little overly bright.Disney's Divinity wrote:This is just opinion, but I don't mind the poster at all. Tiana and the frog both look cliparty themselves, so the inclusion of the side characters doesn't bother me. The poster seems like it can't decide if it wants to be a kind of magical teaser or a clip-arted group cover. Either way, there's a certain mystique to the poster that isn't ruined by the side characters to me. The swamps are turning out more beautiful than I expected.

A better look at the poster...I love it. It SCREAMS Disney.

I dont love or hate the poster...but I do think its over airbrushed, the side characters that is. and maybe even a little bit of tiana's face/cheeks. looks too much like a baby's cheeks. my beef though is trying too hard to make it look 3d. the witchdoctor espesially might as well be a 3d model its so airbrushed. I know this is something they always do with posters, but there is a way to be more subtle about it.

The characters look a bit too cgi,
but I do like the fact it's a bit of a darker, classy poster.
because of this it looks like an original dac.
I was afraid disney would make the biggest mistake and go for the young girly thing again, and miss the point that dac's are so popular of their mature, classy styles.
But they seem to get it now.

Just seen the new trailer and the poster! Great!
O.k the slapstick jokes are not very original, but most Disney movies have a few of them... it shouldn't hinder the enjoyment of this movie..
I have to wait till February 2010 for TPATF, still a long time to go.
As for all the complaints.. I think complaining about Disney animated movies is some kind of sport for certain people.

I like the poster. It looks weird, and took awhile to appreciate, but as someone mentioned, it does scream classic disney. Reminds me of the 70s/80s (although I thought they were going to the 90s image). Kudo's for the guy to designed it, its very stylised.
By the by, Christians believe in all these supernatural things anyhow. If anyone, it's athiests who should be offended, as Disney is "promoting" belief

I'm Christian too. Assuming that all christians will be offended by TPATF is like assuming that all afro-americans will be offended by it, which is clearly not the case.yukitora wrote:I'm christian, and the only thing that offends me about this film is the fact that there are people who automatically assume all christians will be offend by itoh, and the fact Oprah Winfry is in it (she seems to love to campaign against Christians)
And where did you get the idea that Oprah loves to campaign against Christians? (does it come from the same Christians who condemn Harry Potter for wichcraft and TPATF for voodoo ?)
I've seen lots of her shows, but I did not recall het touching on a religious subject, unless you mean the item about the scandal of child-molesting priests, but that's not so much about Christians religion as it is about the wrongs done within a religious institution.
Getting off-topic now, I know...

Oh was referring to who she endorsed this book that claimed how 'God is a manmade feeling' and that if we 'believe in Him' we aren't christian. As since it was Oprah that endorsed it, the book became best seller... I have no problem with people theorising and all, but to make such bold, condeming statements, especially when they aren't even your own, isn't so swell in my book.
Wiki her and look under controversy/criticisms (unless they removed it).
Anyhow, I don't think this is the place for this conversation

Maybe they used the same program they used in THoND to make the crowds? I mean, in THoND, they changed clothing colors and whatnot, but still...good eye!

Let's also remember that the scene of the wedding procession will probably only last a few seconds, and that the main focus isn't meant to be some randoms in the back of the crowd.
