Off the top of my head, the Gareth Gates "Suspicious Minds" music video which (gasp!) is a full music video.

Gareth's "Suspicious Minds" was on the closing credits of the UK theatrical release.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Well... I guess I can live with that.

But if I hear about something else... I'm gonna do a swan dive off the Zakim and just end it all now.

Does anyone know if any of the retailers will be offering a 2 for $30 deal, or any sort of discount for purchasing Lilo and Stitch and Bolt on the same receipt? I usually shop at Best Buy, but I would be willing to go somewhere else for a better deal.

Two music videos. "Suspicious Minds" sung by Gareth Gates and "Our Ohana" sung by the Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus.

The most surprising things on the Region 2 Special Edition that are carried over would be the Mulan's Decision scene and the Casey Jr. song scene from Dumbo. I can't see why those are even on the R1 and R2 dvds. I can understand the Mulan one because doing some research in the past, I learned Chris Sanders and Dean Deblois worked on that movie (but how would other people know that? The video doesn't say so). But what's with the the Dumbo one? Because Lilo has a plush Dumbo in her room?

Honestly, hearing of these, I just thought they were comparisons or something.

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but I remember the Dumbo reference being a painting on Lilo's art easel in the background during one of the bedroom scenes. At any rate, the Dumbo reference was added because it was the last Disney animated feature to use watercolor backgrounds before Lilo & Stitch was made.

Yeah, it's on her art easel during a scene, after the disaster on the beach in front of Cobra, when Lilo tells Stitch he can leave if he wanted to. This pic is pretty dark so I brightened him up so you can see him better no matter what your computer settings are.

Well, into the Charles River I go then.

*a change of clothes and a tetanus shot later*

The "Our Ohana" music video would have been a nice touch, though I'd rather have that lost that, say, the documentary. So I takes what I can get.

That's a nice catch! I usually don't notice this stuff, unless it's in the commentary. Haven't seen the film since the last time it aired on Disney Channel.

I don't know if the R1 DVD has the same structure as the R2 DVD... But in the R2 bonus disc, the 'Behind the scenes' documentary was a 2 hour long piece, divided in chapters. After each chapter, you had the option of either watching the next chapter, or taking a sidestep into another bonus feature, that was related to the issues that were raised in the previous chapter. The segments from Mulan and Dumbo were two such sidesteps because they were referenced to in these chapters. I don't recall the connection with Mulan, but Dumbo was mentioned because, like Lilo & Stitch, it is a 'little' film, with a 'small' story, and the process of creating the story was similar to Dumbo.

The review Luke did confirms that the R1 DVD will include the same 2-hour documentary with the bits about "Mulan" and "Dumbo" included.

This seems like a really packed set... and I'm tickled that it doesn't include any previews, so I won't have to use the 'next chapter' or 'menu' button when I pop it in.

I am curious though, does the R1 2-disc edition have full color disc artwork for this release or is it another colorless trend Disney's saving for their Blu-ray releases?

I seriously doubt that it's got disc art. The "No Disc Art" revolution is far too big.

Target had both Bolt and Lilo standard editions for 15.99 if you buy both you get 10 dollars off. I'm not sure if that applies to the 2 disc set. The Bluray is 26.99. Best buy deal is if you buy Bolt in any format and Lilo you get 6 dollars off, but Lilo is 19.99

Shame. Now it seems that only Fox, Warners and Lionsgate are still providing full-color artwork on their DVD releases.

First it was Universal, then Paramount and now Disney. *cue big sigh*

Question (i apologize if it has already been answered): Will there be anything new on the R1 2-disc DVD that are not in the R2 UK one?

Nothing particularly new. Luke's review does mention some games from the old DVD game, but I'm not sure if those aren't already on the UK DVD.

Thanks for the pictures, Aly!

I'm disappointed about the lack of disc art though. :(

I forgot this was coming out, went to the store yesterday and gasped, it really is a 2-discer. Kinda bummed the disc art is gone, Oliver and Company is like this too. Funny how back when Disney DVD's first started coming out the special feature was the only the full color Disc Art lol and maybe a few previews. I didn't even pay attention to it much, now its gone I miss it.
