I didn't really care of the trailer, I would of rather it be more than it was, unless this is just one trailer for now.

I would of had it

Releasing From The Walt Disney Vault

CUE: Higitus Figtus and then go on from there.

Thanks for posting the trailer, Diego. I thought the trailer was pretty good, Escapay is right, it made the release seem so much more exciting than it is. I am going to be adding it to my collection, because I don't yet own it, but it does hype the film up more than perhaps it deserves.

The trailer looks really neat so far, but from seeing the cover art, and the information of bonus features, I'm not sure if I'm going to consider buying this. If the Walt Disney and Magic featurette and some more bonus features aren't included, I think this might just be a downgrade, and I'll just keep my Gold Collection version.

It's a shame Sword doesn't really get much recognition like the other films during Walt's time and is seen as like a 'minor classic.' I knew for sure it probably wasn't going to get a two disc, but if it's going to have actually one less feature than the Gold Collection, I don't really see the point of releasing this again.

Who does the voice-overs for all these Disney DVD trailers? This particular voice I've been hearing on some of the earliest Disney DVDs and I despise it. Bleh. Anybody share my feelings?

No, you're not the only one. The GC SITS DVD does have a wonderful picture. I had watched it a couple of weeks ago, borrowing from my sister her copy. Disney should have released this with both the unmatted and matted versions to appease both camps. Also, I know there will be those who will double dip for the slipcover.

I know that the cover art has been around for some time, but I've yet to comment on it. And what more can I say than it sucks? :p

I never cared for the Gold Collection cover art, so I think this is a big improvement. I like that it's more colorful and that we can see more characters on the cover. I'm looking forward to this new release.

The Sword In The Stone seems to be plagued by terrible covers...
The Black Diamond (or Masterpiece Collection... I don't remember what it was) VHS cover was alright...
They should update that piece of clipart
(like they did with Tarzan vs Tarzan SE -- same image, more realistic looking)
Put it atop a Blueish Silverish logo
And throw in Merlin, Archimedes, Mad Madame Mim and some flying magical looking stuff below the logo...
Keeping the blue and silver theme but getting rid of the off model characters and ridiculous red logo.

Just my personal thoughts.

I actually like the cover. It's not perfect, but it's far better than Pocahontas Masterpiece Edition (which was a wasted buy for me, as it burns my eyes just to pull it off the shelf). Still, for some reason it reminds of The Last Unicorn.

I totally agree...
Not sure what they were thinking with that one...

I hope Disney give us a revised cover soon, Im not liking see that cover still up. I'd really like Disney to move this from June to like Oct or Nov, which would leave them time to put some actual special features together for this release.

Hardly related at all to rainbow-reaching, but for some reason that quote just popped into my head.

Uhh, anyone else prefer the GOLD COLLECTION cover to this? I always thought the angle was very neat and simply, like the movie itself, which I really enjoyed.

I definitely like the GC Cover. But don't panic, the cover we're getting is still in development; it's not final.
