It does, they fouces on each princess a different year,(2005-Cinderella,2006-Ariel,2007-Giselle,2008-Aurora,2009-Tiana,etc.) so they won't have both Rapunzel and Snow White Platinum Edition, you'll see that they won't come togather.PeterPanfan wrote:Ariel's prince that doesn't make sense. Who cares if Rapunzel is released then. That certaintly doesn't mean Snow White can't be released on DVD that same year.
And Hecules and Hunchback will NOT receive Platinum editions.
Why not? it's early for other Platinum Editions that were allready out, they'll make it for Hercules and Hunchback.

Disney has this incredible ability to market more than one thing at once. It's really quite uncanny. They can certainly pull off both "Rapunzel" and "Snow White".Ariel'sprince wrote:It does, they fouces on each princess a different year,(2005-Cinderella,2006-Ariel,2007-Giselle,2008-Aurora,2009-Tiana,etc.) so they won't have both Rapunzel and Snow White Platinum Edition, you'll see that they won't come togather.PeterPanfan wrote:Ariel's prince that doesn't make sense. And I think it's a safe bet at this point that "Hercules" and "Hunchback" will not be added to the line. We'll be lucky to get an improved one disc version.

Yes, it's a re-release. So what's your point? The DVD itself was technically a re-release.SwordInTheStone777 wrote:I get you now, but it's justing to be a re-release right? Not a whole new release

Although Snow White is a great DVD it's far from perfect. Just a sampling of things they could add are interviews with the animators (many exist), more live action footage (like with prince charming and the horse.), the Dick van Dyke special, the 1994 special, the other radio shows, a comic book art gallery, other cut song demos/rerecordings....there's still a ton of material they could include....

True, but wouldn't live-action footage, no longer be visble, it would need drastic restoration.Although Snow White is a great DVD it's far from perfect. BUMP!
When the rumor started circulating that "Alice in Wonderland" was going to receive a Platinum Edition treatment, there was talk that "Aladdin" had been bumped off the Platinum Edition roster. Well, I might have found new evidence that supports that theory. The German Disney DVD website has a time line featuring all the Platinum Edition titles, and it appears that "Aladdin" is missing from the time line. Check it out! No no,it means that the NEXT release of The Little Mermaid will be on Blu-Ray.UmbrellaFish wrote:Well, it said TLM would be getting one, too, but we don't have that.Ariel'sprince wrote:I"m sure Aladdin will get another Platinum Edition since the Blu-Ray trailer on Cars said that Aladdin will be on Blu-Ray.
Of course those movies will be on Blu-Ray, anyway. Unless Blu-Ray flops.

JC that doesn't say Aladdin.
It translates to "The King of Lions" AKA "The Lion King".
I don't know what to make of all this. I can't see Disney dropping one of their highest grossing pictures for a movie that doesn't have a very big fan-base.
Until I see something in English saying Alice is a PE, I won't believe it.
EDIT: Nevermind. I realized the arrow is pointing to in between Beauty and Lion King.
