And Number 2, as well.

Plus Liz Callaway provided Jasmine's singing voice in the sequels. I think Linda Larkin has been fairly consistent as her speaking voice, at least for the sequels and animated series.

Man, we're just ripping this point to threads. :tink:

It is going to be so strange if / when they replace Jodi, as she has been the only voice we have known for Ariel. Except, I suppose, Sierra Boggess for the Broadway show.
Really? What works did Egan play Belle in recently? :?

There's some exciting details that have been added to the Ariel's Undersea Adventure building! Even something that's been recycled from Disneyland. Take a look (way down the page under the Cars Land pics).http://micechat.com/forums/blogs/dateli ... ieres.html

EDIT: The link has been fixed.

What, you can't make out the building? It's right behind them!

   No, it's definitely not the right link. It's a pretty painting, though. I was using it to post in another thread. I'll go fix the link. Sorry about that.

I don't usually say this, but animatronic Ursula is beast!
Seriously, she's beautiful. To date I haven't seen a more life-like animated model.

My input on the Ariel animatronic: She looks really strange without her lipstick and/or eyebrows.

The movement of all these animatronics is not just more amazing than any previous animatronic but any animatronic I imagined, and is truly magical, like they came to life.

Even Ariel's hair, her freaking hair moves, like it's underwater. I wish that her hair when it's floating up in the "Under the Sea" number looked a little better and moved more, though. But maybe it will later.

However, Ursula's chin seems a little longer/bigger than in the movie. Looking back at how she was in the original film, her face wasn't as long, and she was actually better looking.

Also, the colors used on her, the super bright purple and green, not as good as the original film colors, but maybe in the lighting it will look better.

But I can't believe Ursula will even get to sing some of "Poor Unfortunate Souls!" The scene will be longer and better than the one on the DVD, and more than I imagined! Since it's my favorite movie scene, I can't wait for that!

Includes glimpses of Eric & Ariel during "Kiss the Girl", fish (I assume) from the "Under the Sea" sequence and the real living breathing King Triton!

It doesn't look like they're making their hip fans (the fins around their waists) transparent like they're supposed to be, as they were transparent in the movie.

Sorry it took me so long to answer that (if it was a question), DisneyJedi. Yeah, the King Triton used to be in the pool by Ariel's meet and greet just outside Tomorrowland. He stuck partway out of the water. Now that section has become Pixie Hollow. I thought it was a neat touch that he's being used in a big way in another part of the resort.

About Ariel's animatronic, I'm not terribly impressed. I'm glad her hair moves, but it's not very fluid. And she doesn't really look like Ariel to me (though with her lipstick and eyebrows, that could change). I would have thought after all these years, animatronics would have progressed a lot further. But altogether, the ride looks really good. :)

Actually, Pixie Hollow has been cancelled. IDK what they're doing to it now. Yeah, I think Ariel should be better. But, I really like King Trition.

It was only cancelled at Magic Kingdom where it was replaced by an expanded circus area, Pixie Hollow exists at Disneyland in the Ariel's Grotto spot.

From DisneyParks Blog:

http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2 ... MedBFB0006
We’ve taken you behind the scenes to see some of the amazing things the Walt Disney Imagineers are working on for the June 3 debut of The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure park. We’ve shown you what it’s like to create not only the Ariel Audio-Animatronics figure, but also how to animate her hair.

We’ve given you a glimpse of how impressive Ursula will be when she gets settled into her lair.

And we’ve shown you the beautiful “clam shells” – the vehicles that will take you “under the sea.”

Now we’re inviting you to join us for a very special meet-up, featuring Walt Disney Imagineers Lisa Girolami, Larry Nikolai and Chris Crump from the attraction’s creative team, as well as Walt Disney animators Andreas Deja and Mark Henn who worked on the animated feature film on which the attraction is based. Their tales will also be featured in an article in the May issue of D23 Magazine...Today through April 28 at 11:59 p.m. (PDT), you can enter for a chance to attend our meet-up.

Those selected will be among an exclusive group at our panel discussion with the Walt Disney Imagineers and animators. The meet-up will be held May 10 at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The team is still hard at work getting Scuttle, Sebastian and their friends ready to perform, so you will NOT be able to ride or visit the attraction.

Please carefully read the details on the form when you enter. As a reminder: You must be at least 18 years of age to enter, the meet-up does not require theme park admission and you must appear in person with a valid ID and your guest. If you are one of the 150 people randomly selected from our entries, you will be able to bring only one (1) guest. We will notify you by email if you are selected, with check-in details. All elements of this opportunity are subject to change without notice. Click here to register and learn more.

Are you excited to enter The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure Meet-Up? Good luck and I’ll see you there!"
