Hannah Montana - The Movie
Today I had the opportunity to go see "Hannah Montana:The Movie" & I was very impressed! It was great to see Miley's hometown because it adds more depth, maturity & believability to her character. I also liked the acting by all involved. They kept it top notch without going over the top which is hard to do when a show moves to the theatrical format. It's usually done because there's a sense of freedom to do whatever they want in a movie version of a tv show but this movie wins big time for staying away from that idea & keeping it simple & down to earth. A few touching moments really showed Miley's acting ability & she very much so can act! I will be at my local store an hour before they open on the day of it's DVD release & will watch & enjoy it again for sure. If you haven't seen this movie, hesitate no more to do so. I highly recommend it!

This is slightly off topic, but my nephew used to like Hannah Montana. Now he can't stand her. Apparently he heard about Miley doing drugs, but the rumors were debunked. He then finally confessed why he doesn't like HM: Miley reminds him of his younger sister (who I admit is becoming a teenager and is quite the loudmouth).
So I decided to call him Jackson...

I noticed the film didn't have that many musical numbers like HSM series, which came as a relief to me, I was more interested in seein these characters fully developed as character personalites instead of tv personality.
Sure the "villain" could've rubbed off as a true menace towards Miley's career yet he had heart, you were able to relate to his situtation.
The closin number "Find Your Back Home" was a excellent number and defined the intergirty of the show/film.
Though I kinda wish there were 2 numbers for Emily Osment and Mitchel (like talent show wise) even though this idea was explored in the show.
The relationship between Miley/Dad was very real (no pun) and didn't come off as a "chemistry" trick, you felt the bond of Father/Daughter takin its course thru the film.
Ajmrowland: Your siggy is a tad big, just a suggestion, might wan'na resize it. Just givin ya aheads up

In this day & age, what you say is a lame excuse that will limit you in life. Go out & see the movie & enjoy!ajmrowland wrote:I still like HM, but am not planning on seeing the movie in theaters, as I am a teenage boy.

So yeah, I saw this movie when it came out a couple weeks ago. I'm a huge fan (I actually liked the show before it became super-duper-ultra-amazingly-popular
) but I wasn't too fond of the movie.
I dunno, I think it might've been because it was a little too different from the show. The only main characters that it seemed like were in it were Miley, Robby Ray, and Lilly (and to an extent: Jackson). Oliver was definitley not in it enough and it just seemed like they tried to introduce way too many new characters (wow.... is this what Transformers fans felt when they saw Transformers the Movie back in '86?
).
I went in expecting a silly goofy movie but it seemed more serious than funny. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just wasn't what I was expecting lol.

But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

I'm not a fan of "Hannah Montana", and I'm not going to see this movie, because it is for girls, that's what my parents says, don't get to see it. I might as well watch some other non-Disney movies including "National Velvet" with Elizabeth Taylor, but this film is way better than "Hannah Montana: The Movie".
If I didn't like the film, chances are, I got the soundtrack at Target over the weekend and I love the song by Taylor Swift called "Crazier", but it was a great song. I love Taylor Swift, she's great!

Thanks, Netty!
So, the first group of features is probably exclusive to the Blu-ray, while the second group of bonus features is probably on the DVD and Blu-ray? I hope so- I don't need what I assume are music videos on the Blu-ray list, so I hope everything else is included on the DVD.
I wonder if they'll have a 1-disc barebones DVD, a 2-disc DVD with bonus features, and then the Blu-ray...?

I agree while the other songs were good, I'm hopin that these are the "sing along" bonuses they listed. As for the deleted scenes, they seem pretty interesting, course I remember skimmin thru a few lil kids book verison of the movie, and saw a few scenes (I.E Oswald facin Jackson in a HM wig) so it was no brainer that the scene/sequence was deleted. And as for the music videos while it's a nice set but I agree that "The Climb" should've been included, such a powerful song, in my opion and the video was highly dramatic too.
