With so many requests they might as well just post the entire contents of the DVDs. LOL!
Seriously, I am glad there are so many happy campers looking forward to this release.
But since I missed many of the PE editions, I will wait for the "TE" (Titanium Editions) 3-disc sets. Which should start about 2015. LOL!

So, The little mermaid 3 is a prequel, without Melody. Right?
Thank God!!!!!
I think that the animation is better than The Little Mermaid 2.
I love all the screencaps!!

Yay! Thank you so much for posting the trailers!
I have to agree that the Cinderella III trailer excites me most. And I also think it makes more sense now, and it really isn't a "what if?" movie (even though they seem to be pushing that).
Also, I think they were purposely trying to make the Little Mermaid III trailer like Pirates of the Caribbean.
Thank you sooooo much lighthousemike! Your the best!

A few points...
*Whilst I'm not exactly slitting my wrists over it, I'm a tiny bit disappointed that Peter Pan is coming before 101 Dalmatians, as I have the old Peter Pan DVD, and therefore know a lot more about the production of that film than of 101 Dalmatians, which I don't know much about historically and don't have on DVD, therefore making me a little bit more anxious for that film, even though I prefer Peter Pan on the whole, which still makes me happy either way. I also just wrote the forum's longest sentence.
*That clip from The Little Mermaid 3 looked stupid.
*The JPEG quality tarnishes the quality of the caps a bit, but the main title in the Little Mermaid screencap looks really gorgeous at least, so I'm pretty pumped up about that.
*The Disc 2 preview has me excited; I know now that the theme park simulator ride looks good as opposed to a picture of a shell passing over movie clips that I got worried about on first seeing the publicity still. The deleted scene with rough animation also intruigues me.

Wow! I just watched the trailors. I don't know where to begin, so I'm going to start with Pan since that's what this thread is mostly about. I just watched "Peter Pan" (I finished it 20 minutes ago) because I am so excited for this release. The trailor is excellent. My only problem with it is that they didn't use any of the music from the film, but the music they use in the trailor is good and makes me want to hand Mickey another $20 for the 5th time for the same film. lol.
"The Little Mermaid 3:" Interesting. I think the trailor is severely false advertised. The trailor makes me feel like I'm going to get some big action packed high seas adventure film, when the clip shows Sebastian singing a song made famous by Beetlejuice... Watching the clip, I felt like I was 5 again sitting on the floor listening to my Sebastian cassette tape where he sang famous calypso songs. Judging from the clip and the way they are advertising the film, I'm hoping this really is the end of DTVs because it looks like they are straying way to far from the first film, and even the second.
"Tinker Bell:" When I heard the concept, I was very upset. Now, the trailor is a teaser and doesn't show us very much, for example it doesn't even include CG Tink or let us hear her speak, which is what I'm most upset about. However, I have to say that the trailor gave me goosebumps. I really liked that the song being sung was not anything like modern popular music, but was done in a classical way. I like that. I would hate to have Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan doing songs for "Tinker Bell." lol.
"Robing Hood:" I love the movie, I hate the trailor. I don't like the way Robin is being drawn in segments. You have an ear on the right and an eye on the left and a collar and then they connect the dots. That bothered me. Just freaking draw him and zoom out. I kept waiting for the drawing to turn into a wanted poster and it never did. That could have been a cute way to play the "Most Wanted" title. The trailor also showed next to nothing of the film, almost as if Disney doesn't trust it to sell what it really is. If I were an add executive for Disney, I would create a trailor hyping up the comedy and adventure of the film, because to me those are it's strong suites. In all, it's not a good telling of the story of Robin Hood, but it's hilareous, entertaining, and has it's good action sequences. It just seems to me like Disney is saying "Buy this classic story. That's all it is." I was also apalled to hear the announcer say "Walt Disney's finest moment of inginuity." This film was made after Walt died, and while it is one of my personal favorites, I would not considder it to be an ingenius film.
The disc two preview has me giddy. I really want to insert disc two right now. I'm most excited for the making of and "The Little Match Girl," but I'm a huge Disney park fan and have read several works from the Imagineers, so the virtual ride of the proposed TLM dark ride I heard so many rumors about is one of the greatest interest points of this DVD set for me.
Thanks again Lighthousemike. You are incredible for sharing all of this with us. I think you've spared many of us serious anxiety attacks. You deserve some sort of trophy for your good deeds.

Luke- do you think LHM could be promoted to a "Platinum Edition" title for a week to thank him?
We bow down to you, LHM.

Re: Peter Pan & Jungle Book SE DVD Coming + Trailers
Wow, such amazing find, feels like x-mas came way too early for us *chuckles* I'm looking forward to Peter Pan and Jungle Book's platinums, they better do a gracful restoration on JB cause it was Walt's final film so they better pull out all the stops for the platinum...As for Peter Pan, we'll be getter '03's special features, galleries, games, but I do hope they include a new audio commentary, spankin' new making of document, the oringal storyboard feat. Nana in Neverland (look at the '97 vid. release) Can't wait to see the cover arts for both films.

Wow...you go to bed and you wake up and the thread has more than doubled...wow.
I just watched the TLM3 teaser, and call me crazy, but it gave me chills. What does Melody's locket have to do with anything?? Why does the trailer make it seem like it was on Eric's ship?? Does Disney mean for us to think that ship is Eric's from the first film??
...and whose eyes are those...
And the music does sound like the Pirates soundtrack...

my thoughts:
YAY for Peter Pan. I do want 101 Dalmatians first, because I don't own that one, but a digitally restored Peter Pan with some serious bonus content in the PLatinum line is welcome.
Mermaid looks like an excellent set. Great restoration.
Mermaid III and Cinderella III look like they're made of plastic. They basically rehash everything we've already seen in the original films. Nothing to see there.
Tinkerbell looks okay, at least it's not really rehashing anything. The animation is alright too.
Robin Hood and Fox and the Hound look like nice discs. As long as picture quality is better it's worth upgrading.

I just finished the Peter Pan trailer and then had to go change for I had peed my trousers. I am so excited!!
That "treasure trove" of bonus features better be AWESOME! Also, I wonder if there will be a music video included...I know it's silly, but I tend to enjoy the DCOS stars and their music...and having them re-do a song from my favorite Disney film would be just super!
Dreams DO come true!!

Glad to find the UD Board so lively and awake!
Thanks lighthousemike for posting the whole DVD practically.
Peter Pan looks amazing. I can't wait for that one in March. I have to admit, Cinderella 3 and The Little Mermaid 3 look good. Cinderella has the "time to get revenge on the step-mother" which I really like, and The Little Mermaid has the voyage plus the Pirates of the Caribbean type song.
October 3rd will come soon enough.
