Oh gosh, I'm so incredibly emotional and it's guaranteed I'll cry at SOME part during a Disney movie. Here are the ones that stick out in my mind:
The Fox and the Hound - Pretty much everything about this movie makes me cry, especially towards the end with that one quote "We'll always be friends forever, won't we? Yeah, forever."
Pocahontas - The ending, especially the score, just sends chills down my spine and it gets me crying because it's just so beautiful.
The Lion King - Obviously when Mufasa dies. The part that breaks my heart is when Simba tries to wake him up.
Lady and the Tramp - seeing all the dogs in the pound breaks my heart, especially since I'm so fond of animals.
Bambi - another obvious one haha.
The Black Cauldron - I remember crying when I saw this a long time ago, but I'm not sure at what part. Can't wait to watch it again when I buy the DVD
Oliver & Company - When Oliver doesn't get chosen but all the other kittens do.
Aladdin - when Aladdin chooses the Genie's freedom over being prince.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame - the music in this movie is what usually gets me tearing up.
Lilo & Stitch - when Nani is singing to Lilo.
Princess and the Frog - when Ray dies
And pretty much every Pixar movie gets me crying at some point, but the one that I was absolutely BAWLING at was Toy Story 3 because of the incinerator part and the ending.
Tangled - Just listening to I See the Light made me tear up and I've heard a lot of people who saw the advanced previews cried, so I'm sure I'll be bawling tomorrow at my advanced screening!

Completely agree with The Rescuers. I love the movie, but I also find it pretty depressing.Cordy_Biddle wrote:The one that most of you may find most surprising is actually..."Cinderella III: A Twist in Time". Simply because there is a wonderful amount of well-pitched drama in the final part of the film... ... Especially the part where Cinderella sings the reprise of
"Nothing But a Dream" whilst she's waiting to be exiled.
I do recall getting VERY emotional when I saw "Little Mermaid" as a child during it's original release; in the scene where Ariel loses her voice.
The final scene of "Pollyanna" holds extra resonance for me now, more than ever before. It was one of my grandmother's favourites and we used to love watching it together. Now that she's no longer with me, I associate even more emotion in it's ending.
"The Rescuers" ("Someone's Waiting for You" and the Penny/Rufus scene) slays me every time. Throw me a box of tissues BEFORE the movie starts!
I could go on and on, really, but I'd probably just embarrass myself. I'm just a great big softie, y'all!

I really think a lot of things will depend on my mood. If I'm feeling like a casual sob, I'll start weeping at anything and everything. These two are definite:
Dumbo
Not just the usual "Baby Mine" moment, but also the scene where Dumbo is actually separated from his mother. I actually find it one of the more intense moments in a Disney film, as it really comes out of nowhere and just seems to scream how cruel the world can be. The one bit in "Baby Mine" that gets me going is during the first line of the song, when Dumbo actually starts to tear up, but is comforted; there's something about the expression and the character animation that really seems so human.
The Lion King
Mufasa. Scar. Stampede. You know what happens.
For some reason, the implied scene really upsets me as an adult, though it never affected me as a child.
Others that come close, and if I were really having a bad day, should make me sob:
Bambi
The obvious "Moooooooooooooother!" scene isn't actually the main culprit here, rather the first escape scene where Bambi is crying for his mother as they flee the meadow in late summer. It's just generally more intense as there seems to be more hysteria on the screen with all the other characters freaking out too, almost as though a child is lost amongst a frightened crowd.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
"God Help the Outcasts", as well as when Quasimodo is ridiculed by the mob at the Feast of Fools. Once more, they show the cruelty of the world.
Pinocchio
Tears of joy here, when Pinocchio becomes a real boy.
Lilo and Stitch
The whole relationship between Lilo and Nani is really touching.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
When Snow White is presumed dead, and the dwarfs cry over her body, especially Dopey. Gosh, that Shrill!

My younger brother kept giving me funny looks in the cinema when we saw "Toy Story 3", as I was getting VERY emotional towards the end of the film. Had to put my sunglasses on as I was leaving because my eyes were all red and teary.wafflenugget wrote:None of them have made me cry, but if you include Pixar I was pretty close to crying at Toy Story 3 (the incinerator scene and ending) and Up (the beginning and ending).

Toy Story 3.. a few times:
-The "home movies" opening with You've Got A Friend In Me playing... it reminded me of me being a kid and playing with all my old Toy Story toys
-The incinerator scene, but mostly after they escape, I weep tears of joy
-And of course the part at the end when Andy's giving all the toys to Bonnie talking about how much they mean ot him and everything (because the characters mean a lot to me too)
I'm even getting teary-eyed just typing this.
And in Up, the end when Carl pins the grape soda cap on Russell... that was really touching.
And also, in Cars, when Lightning sacrifices winning the Piston Cup so that The King can finish his last race, that's also really touching.
(I must be getting soft in my old age

But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Toy Story 3, definitely–two-thirds of the way through, I just start bawling. (I must have surprised that little eight year old girl next to me when I saw it in theaters…)
I tear up a little at most movies, I'm not going to lie, but I did cry at The Princess and the Frog (in a "WAIT WHAT?" sort of way) and I always cry when Mufasa dies. No exceptions.

Oh boy...what a thread.
Curse this sentimental Disney score playing in the background! Curse you, Utilidors!
Well, here are some of mine from when I was little:
The Lion King, when Simba tries to wake his dad. The fact that I was so small and still cried over this scene actually amazes me. I can't imagine my little cousin today doing that. I don't cry at all in this movie anymore.
The Fox and the Hound, at the part where Todd is dropped off in the forest.
I've always been an animal person.
Homeward Bound, when Shadow can't get out of the mud pit in railyards. I don't think it makes me cry anymore. Haven't seen it in at least seven years.
I don't think I ever cried on Bambi. I only saw it once, though.
So now, I like to think of myself as stony-hearted and all that, but when it comes to these movies, I'm a mess (literally
):
The Fox and the Hound. I popped this movie in when I was thirteen or so and was surprised to find myself crying hard especially at the end. The reason for this was that my very dear best friend had just moved to the other end of the country under bizarre circumstances. Her parents got mad at mine for a stupid reason and refused to let her contact me in any way (I'm assuming). I never even got to say goodbye. I'd write and write her, but never got any answers. So when I saw the movie, I knew exactly how the characters felt at the end. To be friends but never be able to be friends again. The quote at the end gets me too, because I remember talking with this friend about how we'd be friends until we were old ladies. Everyone says that Disney movies all have happy endings, but the ending of TFatH is not happy. It's bittersweet. Anyway it still makes me cry. I have to watch it late at night in the privacy of my room so no one knows.
Toy Story 3. This one was really embarrassing, because I saw it twice in theatres.
The second time I took my cousins (8 and 12) with me. When Andy gives the toys away, I'm always a wreck (all three times). Toy Story (1) is my favourite movie in the world and the characters are like parts of my family. Anyway by the end of the movie, my eyes were swollen and my nose was dripping. I discovered I didn't have tissues with me
. I was rummaging crazily in my purse (even though I couldn't really see), when a lady handed a pile of napkins to my cousin and said, "Give these to your mom." That was embarrassing in more than one way, considering I'm a very young-looking 18-year old. I only cry at the end in TS3, but I tear up all through the movie, just thinking about the end.
UP. "Married Life" montage. I don't really cry, per se, but I do tear up.
Monster's Inc.. Haven't seen this in a while, but I usually tear up at the ending. It's perfect. I'm rather upset that Pixar is making a sequel. I like stand-alone movies.
In an isolated hormonal moment, I have been known to cry in Bolt when Mittens talks about how her family left her behind. My family never let me forget it.
I know it sounds like I'm a leaky faucet, but I'm really not. These are the only movies I cry on.

Ditto to everything you said about Toy Story 3 (except the tears of joy). I even got teary-eyed reading your post.rexcrk wrote:Toy Story 3.. a few times:

Don't worry about crying in Cars. My mom cries every time on that part, too.
