What the heck? I was trying to quote saving107 when this was in a totally different topic literary 2 seconds ago and it wouldn't let me. Did someone merge the last few posts with a thread that was merged with the original thread the last few posts were replying too? I'm so confused!

But this was what I was trying to say: (thank goodness for copy and paste)
saving107 wrote:same question for me, like if i walk inside the Disney Store will i be able to buy the same stuff (lithos, plush and pins). i never buy anything at the Disney store, i buy my movies at Walmart or Best Buy.
No, that's what my question was about. You can't buy the Bambi lithographs, plush, and pins at the physical in the mall Disney Store. You have to go online. I wanted to know if there was another was besides the real Disney store that I could get just the lithographs. I have a bad feeling there isn't though. :(

shucks, i hate telling this...but. :P just kidding ;)
..usually people on ebay just sell the lithos wwwwaaaayyy AFTER the DVD comes out. you know, when all the hype dies down. (i know this because i've seen THE INCREDIBLES, SNOW WHITE, SLEEPING BEAUTY...and all others) on there.

i can't believe i gave that info out! now someone out there is gonna take the lithos I want!

Kram Nebuer wrote:I wanted to order online but was shocked at the inflated price with tax and shipping. It was like $28 for just the DVD with Lithographs! I usually preorder Platinums at the Disney Store becuase I love collecting the lithographs, but I guess because of the Incredibles Preorder, they didn't offer the Bambi one too. This was very disappointing because I didn't want to resort to an online purchase.
You and me both, except I paid the $28...call me a sucker.

I was told by one of the nice ladies that works at the Disney Store that they are cutting back the pre-orders a lot, to maybe 2 or 3 a year (for PEs and superhigh profile releases) and the geniuses at corporate decided that since The Incredibles would have more pre-orders than Bambi might, they had that as one of the pre-orders this year. She and I theorized that the other pre-order will likely be the Cinderella PE.

The Incredibles in fullscreen only, no less.

psssh, so what right?
actually, i should be saying "no fret!" :P because you can always exchange it at your DVD retail store and say you bought FullScreen by mistake and lost the receipt. As long as its not opened, they'll take it.
I should've mentioned that earlier when there was a thread of complaints about pre-ordering TI and getting fullscreen.

Yea, but it worked for me @ Best Buy. I just had to be nice and explain to them why I'm returning a gift that I got as fullscreen for widescreen .

Some retailers will be able to tell if a product came from their store, though, so be forewarned. No biggie, though, they'll just politely tell you you have the wrong store.

Nobody told me this :x

Thankfully, the manager at the DS knows me, so maybe he'll slip me a switcheroo.

...Hopefully.

I had friends working at BestBuy...and then the college courseload took its toll and they had to quit. :P
they told me what to do instead of actually having to buy a new Widescreen and sell the FULLscreen on Ebay to the ignorant fullscreen buyers.
well, good luck to you on that part.
Aaron's right though; some managers or workers can be pissy and inspect it. but if you take out the STTTIIICCCKKKEERRRRs, they can't say anything.
ahhh, those Best Buy people; sometimes I like them, sometimes I can't stand them. :) but I'm thankful for Best Buy :thumb:

Depends on how busy your Best Buy is. Each store is allocated 100 of the Thumper plushies. You might figure out a way to get there today one way or the other. A little snow never hurt anyone. You should be able to get a ride.

Oh that sticks that they're cutting down on preorders. How much harm does it do to keep them available at the real Disney Stores?

Anyhow, that's good news that they'll still have it for the other year's Platinum b/c its only the Platinums that I usually preorder.

That's odd. The newspaper circular said they are limited to only 75...but that could be just for my area. Well, I hope you are able to get one. If not, you can always buy one at the Disney Store. Another thing is that chances are that other shoppers of Best Buy are buried in snow too so you shouldn't worry too much about not getting one.

Will they let me get two thumpers if I buy 2 dvds?

There is a $3 off coupon over on a dvdtalk thread. I haven't tried it yet, but some people are saying that it is working. The coupon is a scan from one that is included in the Incredibles DVD.

At my best buy store, a lot of people were getting multiple Thumpers for each dvd that they bought. I saw one woman with 5! It's too bad I didn't see that coupon before I bought Bambi, but oh well.
