1200 points now, curtesy of a few surveys, but all I'm really interested in are "Home on the Range," "Meet the Robinsons," "Bolt," WALL-E," and "Up" on DVD. I could only get the first two; I don't have enough points yet for any of the last 3.
Should I go ahead and redeem for "Range" or "Robinsons," or should I keep those points for now, get more points, and wait until later to redeem them for something?

Don't know when it was added but they have a beautiful Nightmare Before Christmas 4 pin set in a coffin shaped box (like the awesome Donald Duck set). Just ordered one. Only 1,900 points (a steal). Love all my DMR pins including all the D23's to go with a bunch of DMC VIP Pins.

This is just my opinion, other opinions may vary, but I'd personally save my points. But if I were to redeem for one of the movies, I would redeem for Meet the Robinsons. My main reasoning behind that is on average, it costs more to buy Meet the Robinsons than Home on the Range. Home on the Range can be had on Amazon for a mere $5 to $6 on average, definitely less than what Robinsons goes for.Princess Leia wrote:1200 points now, curtesy of a few surveys, but all I'm really interested in are "Home on the Range," "Meet the Robinsons," "Bolt," WALL-E," and "Up" on DVD. I would almost never cash in DMR points for a dvd or blu ray that you can buy anywhere. DMR carries too many exclusives or things like WDCC sculptures that you would never spend triple figures for but getting them for a few thousand collected points is awesome. Only exception I made for this was the Oswald WDT tin.

I use my points for DMC DVD Exclusives personally. I have a DMC account, but I sadly can not always use it.buffalobill wrote:I would almost never cash in DMR points for a dvd or blu ray that you can buy anywhere. Stymied as to why this ended up in the DMR thread? Seems like a Pocahontas response.disneyboy20022 wrote:Also, Ratcliffe had a much better song in the sequel, that and the fact the reasons things were going goof, of seeing how evil or rotten Ratcliffe really is. He also feels more of a threat in the sequel, though that would probably because Ratcliffe is in his backyard now.
Also I think the scenes with the bodyguard of Pocahontas have me in stitches laughing.

I can understand DMC exclusives but can't figure why someone would waste DMR points on a regular (not out of print) releasemilojthatch wrote:I use my points for DMC DVD Exclusives personally. I myself am guilty of this on two occasions (Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Blu-ray and Fun and Fancy Free) and I chalk it up to convenience. Even though I wanted both of these titles, I didn't see myself making them a priority to buy as soon as I had the money to afford them. Instead, I saw both of these titles as the type that I would put off purchasing for a really long time, that is if I ever picked them up. Being able to redeem for them made it convenient so I didn't have to put them off till who knows when.buffalobill wrote:I can understand DMC exclusives but can't figure why someone would waste DMR points on a regular (not out of print) release
Now granted, I try to be wise about how I spend my points. I know that there's some really cool exclusives from time to time and nice things that can't be found in many places. I try to use my best discretion when I make my decisions.

For anyone who's interested, $5 DisneyStore.com gift cards are back in stock. I know they were popular when they were featured in December.

If you are after DVDs, then I would suggest you save your DMR points and just buy second-hand DVDs.Princess Leia wrote:1200 points now, curtesy of a few surveys, but all I'm really interested in are "Home on the Range," "Meet the Robinsons," "Bolt," WALL-E," and "Up" on DVD. Ever since the blu-rays have come out a lot of people are dumping their DVDs.

I ordered the Nightmare Before Christmas pin set over the weekend & haven't got a shipping notice yet. Am I just overly anxious just because the last 3 or 4 redemptions shipped out in a day or 2? I'm always worried that they'll nab me for having multiple accounts but it's only a 1900 point item. Plus they did just add gift cards & reduced point posters so they could be just running behind. Should I be worried or not?

I noticed a few DVDs have been switched around. Condorman is back, but So Dear To My Heart is gone (even though it still shows up on my wishlist as "Out of Stock"). Hopefully So Dear comes back soon as I wanted to order it.
I'm going to start ordering up some of these DVDs as I got a ton of points stock-piled.

I wouldn't worry about it. Although for the most part I have the same experiences as you, my last reward took a long time to ship out (almost the full time they said to expect it to ship). Believe it or not, they quote ship time to take up to 6 to 8 weeks. So in that case, you have plenty of time before you get worried.buffalobill wrote:I ordered the Nightmare Before Christmas pin set over the weekend & haven't got a shipping notice yet. I ordered the Pirates of the Caribbean pocket watch yesterday because it was a crummy day and why not. If nothing else, it will look nice on my shelf next to my bulky Blu-ray POTC Best Buy trilogy set.
