a comment from someone on the animationguildblog:

I've also seen Tangled in it's unfinished form. It hits on all cylinders. Visuals, story, music, characters, animation, heart, everything. This one is going to be Disneys best in a long, long time.

The only negative thing I can say is that it is maybe too much like 'Beauty and the Beast,' but hey, that one was nominated for an academy award, so...

Being compared to BATB should make a lot of people very happy, right?

I love the horse. Even though it's a CG design, he fits right in with all the other Disney horses.

That pic of Maximus reminds of Altivo from The Road to El Dorado

Maximus does look an awful lot like what would happen if Buck and Sampson could have a foal....
Well, I'm really looking forward to everything about this film! :D

So now we have a combo, cause Flynn looks like Tulio's lost brother.

And there's blood in the movie, I don't see what's the big deal about it, there's been blood in other Disney films.

Yeah, like The Black Cauldron. BTW, how do you know there's blood in Tangled?

Looks like Mr. Horse from Ren & Stimpy. Well, they said they wanted the film to be a comedy so making the hero's horse look like something people want to guffaw at fits. I would have liked the horse to look as handsome as Belle's horse Phillipe and Phoebus' horse Achilles. We need more horses, like those, with face designs that are low on being comedic.

Well Maximus would be just as handsome as those two if he didn't have that wacky facial expression. Focus on just the left side of his face. I think it looks a lot like Phillipe.

It's mentioned in one of the reviews.

This horse also reminds me of Achilles, Pheubus' horse from HoND.
