I don't like how Snow White appears to be on the brink of being bumped off the cover entirely. In the beginning, we saw her in full and centered on the cover and now she's cut in half and pushed all the way to the bottom.
Though whatever the cover looks like, I'm still getting a copy of the movie when it comes out in the fall.

No this isn't real, I photoshopped the cover. Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

With a name like "Grimhilde", no wonder the magic mirror stopped liking her so much. I know that name existed in promotional materials in the 30s, but why didn't they at least get something that didn't sound like the name of an old Hungarian grandmother?Deco King wrote:The only billing Queen Grimhilde will accept!!!

Yes it is a little like Hilda a very old fashioned sounding name! However Grimhilde's not as "naff"( do you know thw the word Naff in America ?? It means something/or someone lacking good taste/ of the lower social orders , etc!!) as Enchanted 's Queen Narissa which in my opinion is the height of Naffness!!
Maleficent or the French version Malefique would have been better names in Sleeping Beauty the Ballet the name of the wicked Fairy was Carabosse!

Presumably there will be a new Snow White soundtrack CD?
I presume that there will be a newly remastered original soundtrack CD of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs coming out alongside the Blu Ray/DVD?
I enjoyed the last version of the OST but inexplicably the sequence of the Witch fleeing the Dwarfs , and her flight/climb up the rocky mountainside , was cut short , and there is music right up to the point where she falls to her death , after the mountain is struck by lightning , and the boulder crashes down - then it ( the musical score ) trails away. I trust that this will not be missing from the upcoming soundtrack?

I hate to rain on your parade, but it might well be. I don't know the whole story, but a lot of the older soundtracks have little bits here and there missing because the original masters have not been kept too well etc. And whilst I don't buy Disney soundtracks on a regular basis (I bought five or six a few years back, but none since), I get the impression that the re-releases are (aside from the possible bonus tracks) the same as the older releases.Deco King wrote:I trust that this will not be missing from the upcoming soundtrack?

I think that the Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs Blu Ray Cover Art IS Lenticular because I printed out the version with the old Witch proffering the "Magic Wishing Apple" along with the version with the central Snow White image , and Lo : if you flip them back and forth you can see that Snow White changes into the Witch!!!

If it were the queen turning into the old hag, it'd be a cool concept. I don't think it's lencticular, but I guess we'll just see in the future.

Re: diamond cover!
Just lose the old hag below and it looks great to me. And the banner on top would probably be turned into blue (it's Blu-Ray after all) but I wouldn't really mind that.santiagocapra wrote:

ok, this is more like it. I really love this.
Disney is releasing multiple version of this. If I remember correctly there were going to be some labeled DVD+Bluray and some labeled Bluray+DVD but they were basically going to be the same thing. Then later they are releasing the regular DVD version, so I'm pretty sure the image we have above IS the Bluray cover. I'm getting excited again for this release, I'm such a cover art hag.
