Just did some checking. I got my shipping confirmation for my Mystery DVD on Dec. 28th. It's now January 12th. Does it sometimes take that long? I only ask because I usually get things from them like FAST. Still waiting on this one. Anyone else waiting on theirs?

Well, it does say that it takes between six and eight weeks; however, it usually doesn't take that long. I'd call if you don't receive it in a few weeks.

Same shipping day, and I haven't received anything yet.

Also have an order I placed though DMR that I submitted/redeemed my points on the 28th, but its still not shipped. I guess its slow because of all the 12 days of Christmas items. I'm not sure.

I got a notice from the post office that they are holding a certified letter from DMR because I was not home to sign it. Now I am wondering what could they have sent? I know that I read that they may require proof of points, but why would they send that request via certified mail? Would they have sent the actual certificate for the tour (something of significant value) via certified mail? I sure hope so!
I have bad news for you. When they nailed (2 of my accounts) they sent each a certified document asking for proof of all of my points. I tried to get out of it but to no good. I lost both sculptures and all points. I've NEVER got a certified letter (even when cashing in 11,000+ points for the Toy Story Sculpture with record player base or Mulan/Khan Triumphant sculpture). They nailed me when I submitted ticket stubs for a bunch of accounts when they switched over to sending them over the net instead of mailing them in. Must've seen all these accounts mailing in tix from the same IP address. My error cost me a couple nice sculptures.

So you can accumulate all these points, and for the record I have 11,168 pts, but you have to have proof of every dvd/cd/blu-ray/movie/etc if you want to go for one of the big ticket items? It just sounds strange to me b/c it's not like you can claim multiple points for the same title. Most of my points have come from my own personal dvd/blu-ray/cd collection, but I have sold/traded some of the dvds for the blu-ray upgrade as they come out, or just didn't want the movie anymore. My friend gives me her points as well, so this just frustrates me.

So what is the option here, buy low to medium priced items and hope for the best? What do you think the point limit is where they start requiring verification. I understand it's their program and they can set their own rules, but how can they not give you your points back if you can't verify. Just b/c you can't verify doesn't mean you didn't earn the points. This just seems a tad bit unfair I guess.
I find you pompous, judgemental, and completely self-absorbed.........would you be my friend?

I had NO problems cashing in for about a dozen and a half WDCC figurines until I sent in all those stubs for points in the newer system. If you only have one account & they don't see points cashing in from several accounts from the same IP address you shouldn't have any problems even with 5-7,000 point items like sculptures. Heck, I got the 2 highest point sculptures (toy story 2w/record player base & Mulan/Khan Triumphant) & both were over 11,000 points but that was during the old system of mailing in movie ticket stubs & they hadn't pegged my IP address for my accounts. Had no problems. The main thing to watch out for no matter what is those very limited tours. Seems everybody gets asked for verification with them. Plus the one time they had the HDTV several years ago they checked with people on that.

Got my Mystery DVD today... High School Musical 2: Extended Edition. Um... :(

Not sure what I'll do with it. Thinking about taking it to Best Buy for the upgrade to Blu-ray trade in deal. At least it came with points, so I didn't lose any on this reward.

Not a bad plan, but you might fair even better at some places by not opening it and saying it was a gift that you were told was bought there. Though, they have been adjusting return policies lately to make that more difficult. Used to be easy to do that at Wal-Mart. It's gotten harder to return something without a receipt at Target and Best Buy lately. Maybe Wal-Mart is still easy, but they're likely to have that one listed as only 5 bucks or something at Wal-Mart.

Anyways, still waiting on mine. Really hope it is something I don't have that isn't available on Blu (not to be a broken record).

Target and Best Buy require a receipt now, but Walmart still lets you return without one. From what I've heard they allow 2 returns a year (at least in my area), and give you a gift card. I was really hoping that I would get one of the Treasure Sets, but oh well...

Anyway I went ahead and opened it to get the DMR points. I figure I'll find something to get with the $5 upgrade coupon before the promo ends at Best Buy.

Don't you have to use the upgrade coupon on the same title?

Not from what I've heard. You can bring in any DVD to customer service, and they give you a $5 off coupon for any Blu-ray $9.99 and up.

I got the 9,500 point "Ride Like The Wind!" Toy Story sculpture last summer without any verification, so you can go at least that high. I'm sure all the merchandise prizes that aren't either in extremely limited stock or very expensive for them to ship will go through unchallenged. It's probably just the very top-tier prizes like the tours, which are expensive and in very limited numbers, that they're being picky about.

Are they stackable? Can I bring in 5 DVDs and get $25 off of a new Bluray? I know that you can only do 5 per visit.

Not valid with any other offer. Valid on in-stock Blu-ray movies only. No cash value. Offer valid 1/8/12–1/28/12.

There's gotta be one more catch in there somewhere about what titles you can bring in, otherwise people would bring in those DVDs that cost less than five bucks.

Well, you're right. It was the letter requesting proof for all my points. I immediately got on the phone and spoke to someone explaining how can I provide proof for DVDs that I once owned 5 years ago and since have gotten rid of once the format improved (DVD to Blu-Ray to 3D Blu-Ray (yup, I am one of the few that actually own a 3D TV)). I also explained to her that a number of things that I have don't even have a proof of purchase (such as the Sharpay gift set Blu-Ray). She told me to do my best and put explanations by those that I cannot supply.

Well, I will keep you posted once I complete the task and here back from them.
It's more fun when we're number 1!

I think it depends on the store. I've seen some people online say that they buy the cheap titles in slim cases at stores like Dollar Tree for less than $1, and still get the coupons. Others say there is a list at customer service.

Anyway my Tangled Keepsake box arrived today, and it was a lot nicer than I thought it would be. I ordered 2 of the boxes as gifts (Beauty and the Beast and Tangled), and was able to gift the Tangled one this afternoon. They loved it.

What I don't understand is why DMR hasn't shipped the Beauty and the Beast one I ordered back in December. Its been almost a month now... Most items I order are usually shipped in a few days, or at most a week. This is getting a little ridiculous, and has me worried. I hope they don't run out of stock.

That's nothing. I ordered the B&TB box the first time it was offered, on a whim (because it was cheap-ish and I hadn't spent points in a long time), about two days before it went out of stock in October 2010. It took over four months and multiple inquiries before it turned up, and what happened? A week later a second box arrived -- the one they reissued two weeks earlier when they finally concluded the original order was lost!

I didn't need a second box (the first one was already a gift), and as I recall I was short points for something else I wanted that came up in the meantime, so in retrospect I wish I hadn't ordered the darn thing in the first place, lol.
