*sigh*

Nobody reads the Forum Posting Guidelines & Helpful Links anymore, do they?
FPG&HL wrote:Do Not Start New Threads About Slipcovers
UD's reviews always mention if a DVD initially came with a cardboard slipcover, and so does Jake Lipson's thread...so there is positively no reason that new threads asking about titles should be started. You are entirely welcome to discuss those cardboard packaging treats that sometimes open like a book and sometimes don't. But leave discussion for Jake's thread or a topic already discussing the relevant DVD.
Plus, anything relating to Disney Customer Service and their stance on slipcovers could also have gone here or here

I recently bought Cars from disneyshopping.com. It came with a slip cover, too. So I was excited!

Then I was trying to pull the slip cover off so I could see inside the dvd case. I could NOT get the slip cover OFF!

I had to TEAR the slip cover to get to my dvd. It turns out that there was a sticker between the slip cover and the dvd.

So yea, I'm pissed.

My mom paid almost 30 dollars for that damn dvd, when I could have just bought it from the store!

Did you have damaged ones? Or did you just say your DVDs never came with one? What about the slipcover for A Bug's Life?

mine didnt come with any but said that mine were damaged..however, be careful if you are doing this also..my lady asked mine to send in my slipcovers and i told her i already threw them away when i heard about the program(which of course i didnt) and she said she would send them to me complementary(SP??) but if i never needed more save the slips.
On the bugs life dvd, i dont own the movie but know it isnt avaible with a slipcover anymore and so i would have asked for it BUT...she asked for the 5 digit number on the side so i would be careful if you want a movies slipcover and dont own the movie..i will let you know when i get them in the mail. hopefully sometime next week

Does anyone know if The Haunted Mansion,Monsters INC.,Invincible,or Lady and the Tramp:Platinum Edition came w/ slip covers. I'm pretty sure LatT did because 1). It's Platinum and 2). My friend had a SC for it.

Thanks!

A list of Disney movies that came with a slipcover can be found in the first post of this thread: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... php?t=2366

I called disneymovieclub number because the other one kept saying press this blah blah blah.

Then I got to a person and they said that they only receive dvds without slip covers.

Pisses me off.

Why can't they just send the freakin things?

At my local Wal mart I found that they have two of the Platinum Editions that I need: The Little Mermaid and Cinderella. Cinderella PE DOES NOT have a slipcover and I would really like one. Problem=There have been many complaints that they don't give out ones that are not damaged. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. ^_^

i would call the number and say that your cinderella orignally came with the slipcover but when you heard about this number you threw them away and was wondering if you could still be sent the slipcover.

Or you could simply value the fact that you have a pretty good two-disc DVD set and don't need a ruddy tree-killing DVD condom that does nothing but "look pretty" and "opens like a book".
