Ok.. I'm finally gonna voice my opinion on the current show.

A. I absolutely hate this show. The only reason why i watch it is because it's disney. I know I'm silly.
B. What I hate more than this show is how these characters that are beloved by many have been changed for the worse.

But with all that being said... When I heard that they were doing Frozen, I started laughing and going "This show is gonna get so much backlash that it might be cancelled.:

But I can't deny it anymore... After seeing a few sneak peaks... I'm kind of excited for this show.
I love that instead of re-doing the frozen all over again, they're actually continuing it and what's better is that the new story that we're getting is actually quite interesting.

Finding out why the parents were on that boat and where they were going, and also delving deep into the mythos of the frozen story... It's kinda brilliant. Also, we might finally figure out where Elsa's powers come from!
The fact that Anna went on that journey alone or maybe kidnapped... very intriguing.

But alas I have some problems with I have seen too.
1. From that 7 minute clip, that wasn't Anna. It was just somebody that looked like her. It makes total sense that she would be recluse after what she's been through but the fact that Elsa seems more happy than Anna is something that I will never understand as Anna is more visual with her emotions than Elsa.
2. Regina, Regina... If she turns back into a villain again then I will no longer care about this character. It's just cruel.

But aside from that.... I'm looking forward to seeing the episode tonight.
Also... A clip on the facebook page confirmed Marshmallow!

Elsa conjuring Marshmallow was fun. They brought Sydney back! I had been waiting for that. Rumple found Mickey/Yen Sids Hat! Reginas character relapse is handled nicely.

*spoilers for the first episode*

Interesting premiere. The Frozen costumes (Anna’s and Elsa’s) were a little eh, but I like where they're going with the story so far. For instance, Rumpelstiltskin finding the Sorcerer’s Apprentice hat and Regina wanting to find out who wrote the book--both unexpected plot points for me. Also confirmation that 4A is very clearly not all about Frozen. :)

I liked the return of Sydney Glass and the fact that Rumpel decided to begin with a good slate by making sure Belle has the real dagger. I also like that Regina has decided not to go the crazy route and outright kill Marian--for now, anyway. The only story point I’m not liking right now is the Emma/Hook delay. Just get to the making out already. :P

So the Enchanted Forest has an actual name now--Misthavon, I think it was? I’ll have to check that.

I saw the door thing, too. In a way, Regina is the Elsa of this show as far as the misunderstood villain angle and her magic being a display of her emotions, except she actually has done evil things.

Sheesh, could the CGI get any worse...

As for the episode....
Not sure how I feel about it.
I like the Frozen plot set up but everything else is pretty much a bust.

Throughout this episode I discovered that I no longer care about the people of storybrooke. I just focused on the Frozen characters and that was it. I'm just done with this terrible cast of characters.

Marshmallow and Pabbi were sooooo unnecessary..

I feel like the CGI money would be put to better use if they hired someone to consult CGI or just utilized it for Olaf.

I was surprised that he wasn't in the show, given how integral of a character he was in the movie.

Good:

1) The actresses who play Anna and Elsa are wonderful!
2) BLOWN AWAY by the animation of Pabbie! It looked like he walked out of the movie. He looked perfect and the voice actor was great! Hope we see him again. I really wish Olaf was going to be in the show now :(
3) Love how the King and the Queen are written in. Dying to know what they were doing
4) It sounds like Hans and his brothers will be up to no good in this! I want them NOW!

Bad:

1) The actor for Kristoff isn't that good. I think that he lacks the energy and delivery that Jonathan Groff has
2) Marshmallow looked like a ice version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle

Otherwise, it's a good season opener. Loved the references to Beauty and the Beast and the Mickey Mouse's socreors hat. Interesting how Season 4 will be like Into the Woods and Shrek 3 with trying to find the writer who wrote the fairy tale book

POSSIBLE MAJOR MAJOR SPOILER: I'm betting more than anything that the book wtiter will be Walt Disney. That would be perfect!

I personally didn't have any issue with the CGI. Somehow I think expectations for CGI in a TV show are too high.

Not gonna lie, I loved the BatB and Sorcerer's Apprentice references and the episode itself. Except for the fact that, obviously, my favorite character from Olaf wasn't there. Taking Olaf out of Frozen is like... Well... Taking Spike out of My Little Pony. Sure, the cartoon is titled that, but Spike (like Olaf to Frozen) makes the show seem even more fun.

Oh, and Olaf being too difficult to emulate in OuaT? Well, then WHAT THE HELL IS THEIR EXCUSE FOR SQUEEZING PABBIE AND MARSHMALLOW (and looking almost completely identical to their movie counterparts) IN THERE?!?! Stupid hypocrites... They say they can't put Olaf in the show, but PABBIE and Marshmallow get to have their cameos? I'd like to know how that's even fair. :x

Same. I thought they were really well done for a television show.

The effects seem to be better this year, though. And I liked how they kept the Trolls design consistent with Frozen.

As in you never liked the show?

I'm not surprised that Olaf wasn't in this. They never seem to include the talking sidekicks.

I completely agree. I thought Marshmallow looked wonderful, especially when you consider that this is a TV show; I actually said aloud, "Wow, the special effects must have a bigger budget this year."

And I enjoyed the season opener quite a bit, and I'm excited to see where the season will take us. I also wasn't bothered at all that Olaf wasn't in this episode. And, honestly, I don't like the character all that much (he is an essential character, though, and I certainly see how people are mad/sad that he wasn't in the episode).

why the hell was Anna wearing Giselle's wedding dress? Im sure thats not what a taditional Norwegian wedding dress looks like.

My sister, who doesnt watch the show but did like the Frozen movie and tuned in to see the Frozen bits, called me about 15 minutes into the airing:

sis: "Im really confused...Is that supposed to be Belle and the beast? Why is he so ooold, ewww!"

me: yeah, he's also Rumplstiltskin...

sis: huh?

me: its complicated

sis: is the mean woman with black hair supposed to be the evil queen?
who is that blonde woman with the modern clothing?

me: thats Snow White and Prince Charming's daughter

sis: which ones Snow White?

me: the brunette short haired one with the baby

sis: but theyre the same age?!!! :?

me: yeah, its complicated...

Ratings are definitely up--the highest since Nov. 2012 apparently. Hopefully, they'll maintain through December.

And, if it's true that, for the 2nd half of the season, they'll be doing Maleficent, then I think the ratings could be stay in that range for the whole season. Hopefully. :D

I almost cried!!!

So glad about the ratings!

Finally saw the first episode of the Fourth Season and have to say that I was extremely impressed by what they did. The Frozen characters were all really, really well realized.

I just hope this time doesn´t happen like the whole Neverland story that didn´t move the story along and that, besides introducing new characters eventually, that they recover Aurora, Phillipe and Mulan. It´s a whole shame what´s been done to these characters. If they were going to use them like this better not have used them at all.

And by the way, seems like Ariel and Eric have suffered the same fate as well.

I just watched the show for the first time last night. I don't have a clue what's going on other then Elsa causing trouble in storybrooke. What happened to Aurora and Phillip? Looks like Elsa's dress still hasn't melted.

A Hans-some ( :P ) actor joins the OUAT cast.

Image
Things are getting a little cold on Once Upon a Time – downright Frozen, in fact.

When Once returned for a fourth season on Sunday, fans of the fantastical ABC drama were treated to the series' first scenes featuring the beloved characters from Disney's hit animated film.

Picking up a little time after Frozen ended, the episode found Elsa (Georgina Haig) helping her sister Anna (Elizabeth Lail) prepare for her impending nuptials to the broad-shouldered Kristoff (Scott Michael Foster).

But those three won't be the only Frozen faces joining the cast of familiar fairy-tale characters.

Actor Tyler Jacob Moore has come on board as Hans, and PEOPLE has the exclusive first look at what Moore will look like as the conniving prince from the Southern Isles.

It is clear from the photo that Moore has the looks to charm in the same way as the animated prince he is portraying, but what remains to be seen is what exactly is in that mysterious urn he's carrying.

Oh, Once. Always keeping us on our toes.
