It's basically a two-sided story: One side tells Aurora's part, and the other tells Maleficent's part.
I remember that book.
But it makes me wonder if the producers of Maleficent looked at this and said: "Hey, this looks like potential for the next live-action fairy tale film! Jane! Call Linda Woolverton and see if she could come up with anything!"
Oh by the way, since that this is Linda's second live action fairy tale film, do you all think she'll give an on screen interview? She hasn't had one before (except for a "making of").

Get this: In Maleficent's side of the story, she was a business woman (the CEO in fact) for E.V.I.L, a textile business and she only wanted Aurora to be hired into a internship so that the princess could have a stronger work ethic. She was only accused of being evil through a string of misunderstandings.
You have to admit, that sounds more stupid than anything in the world for a villian story. It just made Linda Woolverton's leaked script sound much better, and I didn't care for it!

What.
How the heck did they explain the whole "prick your finger and die" thing? People don't curse each other on accident.

I don't think they went deeper in that, leaving it open-ended.

The story is simple, if you read the book from the one side you have the original story (from SB's point of view) and the other side reveals the story from Maleficents point of view.
They also had books for Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel and Peter Pan.

It's still a nice poster regardless, I think that all of the Maleficent posters have been better than the posters we got for Alice in Wonderland.
I prefer this new HQ banner I found. It shows us Diaval, and I have the feeling Aurora looks more like a princess in this one than in the previous one (not as Alice-in-wonderland-y).

I like it! I was a little skeptical at first about Elle Fanning, but now, after seeing all these trailers and promotional materials, I like her and I think she's more than suitable for playing Princess Aurora. And as for those My Side of the Story pictures, I think it was a great idea for a book series. I saw some of them at a book shop a few years ago, and I liked them. I think they're not meant to be taken seriously, it was just a fun idea.
I don't like how the visuals are reminiscent of the "Alice in Wonderland"/"Oz"-landscapes. Call me biased, but I've would preferred visuals that are more reminiscent of the 1959 classic.
I love posters that have a lot of images in them, so count me for liking the new posters and banners! It's just that with so many images you get so much to see!
And by the way, you can see what Aurora's original animated film crown would look like in real life. Click the words below: Aurora's crown
When I look at the calender I think: "Wow, it's been two years since we got that teaser image of Maleficent" and now the movie is coming out in just 1 month.
I can't wait!

The description is really hopeful for those worried about the characterization of the three farires: "Aurora even likes living with her bumbling but well-meaning aunts". It seems we've found another revision compared to the leaked script.
