Hey Buffalobill, how is the Newsreel? Would you say it's worth the extra points? And/or waiting to see if it comes back in stock? What articles are in it?

What exactly is a Newsreel? Is it a magazine about the topic? Like, they have HSM2 Newsreels- would the whole thing be about HSM2? How many pages (approximately) are they? Thanks! :)

24 pages. 11 articles. Here are the titles: Page 4: Made For You And Me: Fans find a new home in D23-the world's first and only official Disney fan club, 6: Your All-Access Pass To Disney: Go inside the pages of Disney twenty-rheww--the ultimate magazine for Disney connoisseurs,8: Show Your D23 Pride: From pins to lovingly crafted reproductions of historic Disney items, get a first look at the amazing Walt Disney Archives Collection,10: The Ultimate Disney Fan Experience: Newsreel brings you to the front of the line for D23 Expo-a place where every single thing you love about Disney is gathered in one space,13: Are You 23?: If you're reading this, you probably are! See what other fans were saying online about D23's enigmatic teaser campaign.,15: From Rodeo Champ To Real Life Boy: Newsreel celebrates Pinocchio's upcoming 70th anniversary with Disney legend Dick Jones, the original voice of the wooden boy.16: Acting Responsibly: The Walt Disney Company outlines its commitment to making a difference in the 2008 Corporate Responsibility Report.18: Table Manners: Perfect your Green Dining etiquette and find out what's been cooking over at the environmentally friendly Buena VistaCommissary. 19: Picture It, 20: Eye On Us, 22: Dateline Disney: 1923.

Great magazine with nice articles & pics. I'd wait & try to see if it comes back (but I really doubt it will) & if the pins become limited quantity: jump on 'em. They're really nice pins.

Thank you for the info! I just redeemed for the set of 6 HSM2 Newsreels. I really wasn't quite sure what they were before, so I never redeemed them. I was having the hardest time deciding what I wanted to use my point on. I know that I could've just saved my points, but there aren't many expensive prizes that I want. And it's Corbin- I can't say no to him. :) So now I have 25 points left. Yay.

I couldn't wait any longer so I just ordered the D23 pin set without the newsreel. I agree that they probably won't come back in stock. I've also been checking ebay periodically for the newsreel and I hope I find it. Thanks for all your help and the detailed description of the newsreel. Sounds awesome and I'm very happy you were able to get it!

I got the pins without the Newsreel because I don't think its right to use points on something that was given away for free. Also, the fact that they give you one cover at random instead of all of the covers was disappointing when they give you all of them for HSM2. But I digress.

I just caught a glitch on the DMR site. They've got G-Force available now to print the ticket stub form early. But instead of giving you the choice of 1-4 tickets for 50-200 points it only allows you to choose 1. I called in to DMR & told them that the rules didn't appear to have changed & asked about it. The CSR checked & said that they'd programmed the page wrong and she is reporting it & some time next week it should be corrected so you can choose the amount of stubs you are going to submit.

I just read on the home page after logging in to Disney Movie Rewrds that "Walt Disney records is coming and you don't want to miss a beat." Anyone know anything about this?

Did anyone notice the new addition (but it is gone now) for 12500 points that was for an autographed guitar by Demi Lovato and a costume that was used for the Cheetah Girls One World movie? Those were just two of the items that was included in this package. When I went to look at it, it was already not available.

Wow, in exactly one week after ordering the Minnie and Donald D23 pin set off the website, I have the pins in my hands. They are beautiful! I actually expected them to be bigger than they are, but I am very happy with the size. I was glad I didn't get huge pins.

I ended up buying the Mickey D23 pin off ebay so I would have a complete set.

Do you guys think that there will be a complete set of the fab 5? Do you think Goofy and Pluto are next? If so, then I will start saving my rewards points!

I was looking at the full list of movies with codes, and it looks like The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, Make Mine Music, Melody Time, and Fun and Fancy Free all come with 75 points as of 6/30/09.

Would that mean that if I already own them, I won't be allowed to redeem?

Congratulations on getting Mickey and I hope you didn't pay too much for it. I got my pins yesterday as well. I would love for them to round out the set with Goofy and Pluto (especially Goofy!!!!!). I think it would be cool if they even went further with the D23 pins and did Horrace Horsecollar, Clarabelle Cow, Clara Cluck, and Pete, but that might be going a bit too far.

Frankly, I just hope more D23 DMR exclusive items come out in the future. I have a lot of DMR points because they don't have much that I want. I usually just use them to donate DVDs to hospitals.

Damnit, DMR! I got those four films by going to walmart.com and ordering them. I did that within the last year. This must mean Disney plans to re-stock them in stores if they're adding codes. I hate when I get shafted by DMR. :(

I too am a bit sad that you can't retroactively get points for films that you bought before codes were included with them. Would the presence of DMR points be enough to make a consumer buy something they previously weren't interested in? I don't get why they do it.
