That thing is defintly a lie.
The only song from the film is Shak Sanora (whatever you spell it)and they just worte songs from different Little Mermaid albums and made songs (a song of Sebastian with Crazy Frog? that's makes so much sense!
).
They also made up their own name to Shak Sanora
.
Anyway someone made this whole thing up,that's no true.

I was just thinking about this today, and I wanted to see what you guys think:
Jodi Benson has been the voice of Ariel since her creation, and has remained with the Disney company ever since, and her loyalty to the character has never strayed.
Paige O'Hara was the voice of Belle consistantly up until a few years ago, when she has been replaced by mainly Susan Egan.
Susan originated the role of Belle for the Braodway show , and then started to take over the character in Disney Animation.
Do you think that this will ever happen in the case of Jodi and Sierra ? Jodi will no doubt be Ariel for many years to come, but do you think Sierra, Ariel on Broadway, will take over from her?
An interesting question I think ...

Well,i think that if Jodi will have Sierra will replace but that's only if Jodi will have any problem, since Jodi always be Ariel and she's loyal to Disney,Paige O'Hara just seems old and besides,Susan Egan just replaced her in the Tea Party and Christmas Princess Albums,Paige voiced Belle in Enchanted Journey for exmaple

It's a bit obvious to say that as you get older and older your voice changes, so with that in mind it's more than likely Jodi will have to be repleaced at some point or another. It's possible that Sierra could replace her, but that'd be up to her if she'd like to be cast as that until she can no longer do it.
I think Jodi is an incredible voice actress so it'll be a while before we really have to worry about this.

She sounds like her when she speaks, but she sounds different when she sings. She belts a little more and she's not as good with the lower notes. I do enjoy her voice though and if anyone will replace Jodi one day (hate to say thatslave2moonlight wrote:It'll break my heart when they replace Jodi. I've been so in love with her voice since The Little Mermaid came out. Does Sierra sound enough like her? I haven't heard or seen anything from the new musical yet.

It will be a sad, sad day when Jodi gets replaced as Ariel, but I'm afraid it's inevitable. You can already hear, in recent Princess products, how Jodi Benson’s voice has aged. Just like Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora Princess Ariel will fade in 50 years and will need a new voice. I personally don't think Sierra sounds anything like Jodi. Speaking, it's okay, but singing definitely not! Disney got lucky with Susan Egan, she sounds better than Paige as Belle! Sierra is just way to different to be the new voice of Ariel; her voice is way too different.
