P.S. Does anyone know what it says in English? Just a thought.

Well, maybe she dyes her hair. You know, because she's just so used to being a blonde that she can't accept the fact that it was only the magic and she's really a brunette? Hey, it's possible!

Did anyone else by the Mattel Rapunzel dolls and have quality issues? Mine's leg fell off the second I tried to sit her on my shelf! WTF!?
That and, her hair is definitely living up to the name of the film. And if you try to brush it, she just sheds everywhere, and since doll hair doesn't grow back... It's definitely a problem. It makes me wish they would just make a doll of her from the end of the movie. It would just be easier.

The Disney Store Rapunzel doll is MUCH better than the Mattel one. And it has the sleeves.Sky Syndrome wrote:I've seen Rapunzel dolls at a Wal-mart. They are strangely lacking long pink sleeves attached to their purple and pink dresses. I would like to buy a Rapunzel doll that, at least, has those sleeves on her purple and pink dress.

What? Wow!
Dear Margos,
What? The leg actually fell off that soon after she was deboxed? Wow...just...wow! That is one example of REALLY cheap quality control! I knew that things were bad at Mattel, but I had no idea that they were THAT bad...
If you want to waste some time by trying to see if you can perform doll surgery, boil some water, stick poor Punzel's leg joint into the boiling water, in order to soften the vinyl, and then try to put the leg back into the socket. Said process will not work if any of the internal parts have come off WITH the leg. Be VERY CAREFUL when you're handling the hot vinyl parts, because they'll likely be very hot! You might want to work the leg back into the socket after you've wrapped it in a paper towel, so as to avoid burning your hand.
I have repaired one articulated Barbie doll's leg via that method (Her legs are STILL prone to weaknesses), and I'm sort of well-versed in boil-perms, doll hair styling, paint removal (I've braved the typical, nail polish remover-induced headaches), etc., but I'm not a total doll wizard.
I almost wish that there were some Rapunzel dolls which sported a look that was a combo. of the looks of the Mattel dolls and the Disney Store dolls...
Thank you in advance for your reply.

I guess I should have held out and waited to get to the Disney store to buy a Rapunzel doll (that's where I get all my other Disney dolls), but I just couldn't help it, she looked so cute! Although, her dress really is wrong, and she doesn't have freckles at all.....
Thanks for the tips, Jackoleen! I'm going to have to check that out sometime! Her leg is sturdy enough to sit on the shelf in my dorm room, but I may pose her standing when I have more room someday, so I will definitely have to try that....

Thanks for posting the scans. I'm from Minnesota, but I'm studying in England this year and I've already sent my request home for "Tangled" books haha.
Seeing those coloring book scans makes me wish even more that this project had been rendered in traditional animation. On the plus side though, this really does seem to be the most classic Disney film for quite a long time. It seems to have a really strong story.

I agree. Those coloring book pages look amazing. Much better than CGI could ever hope to look (unfortunately). And I guess it's true that Rapunzel's design just works better on paper than it does in 3D.megustajake wrote:

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"
I don't think there's a song? I saw it at the book store and it said it featured dialog with the voice actors. That I am interested in hearing.Tristy wrote:Hey since you've got the Read-Along storybook, could you upload the song that goes with it? There isn't a song on the CD. It's just the narration of the movie along with dialogue with the original voice cast and sound effects. However, there is a small snippet of a song during the narration, called "Incantation [#6] (Healing)". Rapunzel sings it when she wants her magic hair to heal Flynn in the middle of the movie.Poody wrote:I don't think there's a song? If anyone can tell me how to rip the CD and find me a good free ripper software, I'll gladly upload it for you guys.

Does the CD includes the score from the movie?sotiris2006 wrote:There isn't a song on the CD. It's just the narration of the movie along with dialogue with the original voice cast and sound effects. sotiris, couldn't you just use your computer microphone and hold your CD player, or headphones plugged into the CD player, up to the microphone?
I was amazed at the quality we got with your microphone before for the other music!
