All joking aside, the budget is $33 million and with such a small(safe) marketing campaign and going up against potter, there's no surprises and it still has more than fair chance of modest success.

Yeah, I'm 21 years old and went to see it alone. Admittedly, the screening mainly consisted of very young children and their parents, but that's why I sat in front of the rest of the audience members. Your parents don't want to drive you there? Take a bus, then. Today's Tuesday, which is typically when the cheapest admission is, so it won't put a huge debt in your allowance.

It just seems incredibly hypocritical on your part to complain that other audience members ignored the film this weekend, when you yourself haven't seen it yet. How do you know they didn't have the same predicament as yourself?

You have absolutely no right to complain anymore about this. You are contributing to its 'failure.' You're such a hypocrite.

I didn't say you wanted it to fail. Even if you don't want it to fail, you're still contributing to its supposed failure by not going to see it. By saying that you don't want to go see it (alone), and yet you still complain about how many people aren't going to see it because of various reasons, you're a hypocrite. If you truly wanted to see it succeed, you would put your insecurities behind you and support the film.

Yeah, DisneyJedi, it does make you a hypocrite. You don't want it to fail and yet you haven't done anything yet to help it. Like I said, if you want to see it and your parents aren't interested, just take a bus to the local multiplex. If you're really an adult (or even a teenager, for that matter), it shouldn't be that difficult.

Say "I'm going to the movies. See you later." Go to the closest bus stop, get on the appropriate bus, get off at the right stop, pay for your ticket and go to the screening room. Boom. Not that complicated. After you've followed those steps, then feel free to complain that the film is doing poorly (which it isn't. It's doing exactly the numbers that a Winnie the Pooh film is expected to perform). But, at the moment, you're a hypocrite who's whining about something you haven't done anything to reverse. It's the equivalent of an eligible voter complaining that John McCain lost the presidential election, even though he never visited the polls to help his candidate of choice.

I saw it this afternoon. It was very enjoyable.

The thing I found most impressive was how they're making the characters less ashamed of their British heritage this time around. (Gopher has apparently left the Hundred Acre Woods.)

I think this will be a quick turn around to Blu-ray/DVD. In Mexico the combo pack is already out.

Hopefully it makes its budget back before its out of theaters, but if they turn around and release the Blu-ray/DVD in a month or two there might be some that just wait and skip the theatrical release.

^Oh, no. According to the site's Blu-ray/DVD release schedule, Pooh's out on video in December.

^that's it. I'm going to see the movie then importing the Mexican BD.

Of course, it's totally predictable. Christmas and Easter are Disney's favorite Hollidays.

i wont get to see it til october, but i will go at least once, maybe twice if mum cant go with me the first time. i have no issues with going alone. would rather do that than miss it altogether, but i know mum willl enjoy it[she loves eeyore]

Makes perfect sense to me. The summer Pixar releases are usually brought to home video in November. September is way too soon and October is The Lion King's Blu-Ray debut, that will be sure to over-shadow Winnie the Pooh. Not to mention, this should sell plenty of copies among the Christmas-shopping crowd.

It's going to be in my town until at least Next week...and due to the heat I can't go until Next week.....I have a very very bad heat allergy.....and it's never been this bad before....weak immune system and all,

I will plan on going either Monday or Tuesday.....probably Tuesday

The Blu-ray that's out only has a Spanish audio track. A DVD version is being released next month in the UK. No Blu-ray yet.

I'm not definitely going to see the new "Winnie the Pooh" film, because it's a baby film, but it's too cute to see it. I'm not a big fan of Winnie the Pooh. I grew up with the "Winnie the Pooh" films and records since I was a kid, but I'm not interested in going to see this film. I'm also going to see "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 2" which is the final chapter in the saga. I guess to my knowledge this film is doing okay at the Box Office, but look at the Box Office records during the opening weekend. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 2" is an blockbuster hit, but nothing can hold a candle to "Winnie the Pooh".

Pooh's not babyish at all. It's actually way smarter than most so-called "adult" films.
