I saw it last night and while I'm not going to go in big paragraphs about the movie. My opinions are similar to what Disneykid's review.
Points I like to say though.
Seeing Jodi Benson was good treat for me. I've met her in NYC at the disney store when she was autographing TLM stuff.
Giselle was great. Played great. Everything about her was great. Nuff said.
Edwards- while I was hoping James' performance would beat his Hairspray's performance, it didn't. However, I did like it none the less. He was funny and goofy which is what I was hoping for.
The villian was weak. But I guess the screen time also blame for here. Plus, I was little confuse(i'm hearing impaired) what was her motive was. The Dragon wasn't as good as I hoped also.
The animated sequences were good. The ending one with Nancy and cell phone was priceless.
Speaking of that, I found the pairing with Ed and Nancy very weak and thrown in at last minute.
So movie was cool altogether.

look for the caramel apple..it mimics the snow white poison apple..with the skeletal face formed on it.
the happiest shot in the movie for me is the old folks segment.the dancing makes me smile always.
if nancy gets you know who..doesnt that make her a disney princess?

take it from someone whol lives in a country with an actual monarchy, when you marry a prince, you become a princessAriel'sprince wrote:Giselle is the hero, not her.PatrickvD wrote: technically not.
Nancy is the real Disney princess.
and when you marry a divorce lawyer, you don't get a title. Unless when that divorce lawyer is Patrick Dempsey, then you become Mrs McDreamy.
Saw it last night with my Mom. It was really good! A lot better then I expected. I loved the cameo appearances too. It made me realize how funny (and somewhat a little odd...) the Princesses would be if they were real people lol (well particularly Snow White). But in the end you actually understand where Giselle is coming from lol, in a interesting musical atmosphere kinda way. Anyway I give this one an A...I'll probably go see it again eventually.
By the way...Did Giselle sort of resemble Ariel to anyone?? For some reason when she came out of the shower in the towel...she looked a lot like Ariel in her sailing mast outfit.

well even if that is the case DuBois is still a Cinderella reference!purin wrote:I opened up an Enchanted reusable sticker book and I found that Nancy's last name was DuBois and not Tremaine!
At the ball scene, where all the names of the women are called out, and they meet the prince, the one that gets the longest screen time is a certain Mademoiselle Augustina DuBois-
who has black hair and her dress reminds me slightly of nancy's (but that could just be me)

Becouse Giselle is a Disney Princess who isn't a princess, like Mulan.Super Aurora wrote:What's Mulan has to do with anything with the topic?Ariel'sprince wrote:HEY!.

Nancy's a princess and Giselle isn't. Deal with it. In fact, the moment that scene happen, I thought Ariel's Prince would get in a hissy fit because it was like a shove in his face.
Why a shove in face? (and why saying that? it's insulting) Giselle is a Disney Princess (AKA:Disney Heroine) and it dosn't matter if she's a Princess or not? Nancy isn't a Disney Princess becouse Giselle is the heroine even if she is a Princess, who cares if she is a princess? she is a princess like Kida.
And it's okay akhenaten, exept the part of upseting me

Yes, but being a heroine doesn't make you a Princess...there are many heroines who aren't Princesses...technically only Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine and Kida are born Princesses...everyone else is a Princess through marriage, and since well...Giselle didn't marry Prince Edward and stuck with Robert...she aint a Princess! (Aint is not a word by the way..its another incorrect way to say is not.)
Who said Disney Heroines was another name for the Disney Princesses?? If that were the case, Snow White Cinderella and Aurora aren't Princesses since they didn't really save anyone...wah Wah WAH...
aaah, I forgot Tigerlily an...whats her name...Eilonwy.
