Cinderella Platinum Edition 10.04.05

Post by Cameron »

Buena Vista will bring Cinderella to DVD for the first time Oct. 4, with a price of $30 for the two-disc platinum edition and $50 for the collector's gift set with a limited-edition book, character sketches by Disney animator Ollie Johnston and a numbered frame from the woodland flick.

Cinderella, which is undergoing the studio's painstaking visual and audio restoration process, hasn't been put out on video since the VHS release in October 1995.
Why create history when we can change history.

Merging with the 6-page thread that is a whole seven threads down.
"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president

The giftset should be nice. Like it has been said before, wish they would have done it with Bambi.

Too bad Bambi was in their eyes not good enough for a Gift Set. But I'm glad they're doing one for Cinderella anyway. Can we assume only the "fall" platinum titles will get a gift set? By that logic, L&T will not get one, Little Mermaid will. Wich leaves us to assume that 101 Dalmatians will be a spring release because Jungle Book is the more popular of the two... I'm totally guessing now lol.

OOH! BOO-YAH! TO ALL THE HATERS WHO SAID THERE WOUOLD BE NO MORE GIFT SETS!!! LoL, no I'm just kidding...YEAH! GIFT SETS FOR EVERYONE!!! I guess they are only giving the October releases Gift Sets...

That makes me very sad and very happy, for I would love Lady and the Tramp to get one, but I want The Little Mermaid to get one even more! Well, now I'll have my two favorite Disney movies with Gift Sets...

Quite fantastic news... a beautiful, big and shiny "Cinderella" box set to sit beside the other ones! Only a "Pocahontas" box set could be better, hehe!

Omg... Cinderella giftset!!!

This is definitely a must buy for me; coincidentally, this news just made my week. And my week had started off on a very lousy start so I'm feeling quite giddy right now.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

OoOo...A Cinderella giftset DVD! I've never really got into buying the DVD giftsets but maybe this time around I may indulge myself in the ultimate Cinderella DVD. This was the very first Disney movie and movie movie and animated movie I ever saw and it would be nice to have a gift set!

BTW, cool new avatar, Joe Carioca! It's nice to see that Jose can kick back and relax after being toseed into the sky and hugging fruit, lol.

I sort of regret not buying the Aladdin giftset because now I completely love that movie. Perhaps I will buy the gift set for Cinderella, I probably will because I know I'll love Cinderella once I see it, after all I liked it when I was little.

But Little Mermaid is a definite; I definetely would buy the gift set... I'm excited just to think of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Hm... and you've still got a few more months of insanity to try and curb before the actual release of Cinderella. :p
