Care to post the setlist? I was storing it on my phone as it went but apparently I missed some.

I don't know about "know", but she did recognize me. And she looked at me and laughed when I was the only person in my area standing for all of "Lead Me On".DaveWadding wrote:She HAS to remember you by now, right?

I went to a TON of gigs in college ranging from famous bands in large arenas to up-and coming bands in small clubs - many of whom eventually became more known. Mostly I've seen "alternative" and "British New Wave" stuff from that era, and can't remember all the gigs I've seen off the top of my head. Due to my employment at the time, I often got free tix and/or backstage passes! Most of these were in the late 80's and early to mid 90's, in no particular order:
Paul Mc Cartney
Pink Floyd
U2
REM
Police
Sting
Tears For Fears
Depeche Mode
Cure
Morrissey
New Order
Cocteau Twins
Shelleyan Orphan
OMD
A Flock Of Seagulls
Book Of Love
Cyndi Lauper
Duran Duran
Erasure
Pet Shop Boys
Big Audio Dynamite
James
Suede
Pulp
Peter Murphy
Sugarcubes
Sundays
Cranberries
INXS
Midnight Oil
A-ha
10,000 Maniacs
Lush
Joe Jackson
Sarah McLachlan
Ocean Blue
Innocence Mission
Echo and the Bunnymen
Psychadelic Furs
Radiohead
Pixies
They Might Be Giants
Tori Amos
Fleetwood Mac (2009)
The following were seen at Cypress Gardens, FL within the past few years, free with season pass/park admission:
Beach Boys
Three Dog Night
The following were seen at Busch Gardens, Tampa, within the past few years, free with season pass/park admission:
Styx
And the following were seen at Epcot's Flower and Garden festival within the past few years, free with season pass/park admission:
Petula Clark
Davy Jones
Herman's Hermits
Fifth Dimension
The Tokens
Sheena Easton (Food and Wine Festival)
(and several others, I'd have to check the Flower and Garden programs to remember the rest)
There are some I am fogetting at the moment, these are just off the top of my head... Kinda ironic that with such a "pop" background (meaning music sorted by artist), now I mostly listen to Disney Theme Park music, Disney film music (esp from the DACs), film scores, soundtracks, musicals, classical, and "popera"

On Tuesday, I attended my ninth Amy Grant concert, the Christmas with Amy and Vince tour in Charlotte, NC. As the tour title suggests, Vince Gill was also featured (as was their daughter, Jenny Gill). This marks the fourth time I've seen Vince in concert as well.
I also got to meet with Amy again!
Here's the setlist:

My list at the top of this thread was very outdated. I've finally made a proper listing of the concerts I've been to, which I'm pasting below. (I also updated my first post in this thread):
I'm going to my third Aerosmith concert in a few weeks and as my excitement builds, I decided it was time to properly document all the concerts/tours I've been to (something I've attempted before but never really finished). My list is below.
Does anyone else here enjoy going to concerts? Who have you guys seen/want to see?
Headliners & Co-Headliners
Aerosmith
Bebo Norman
•Bruce Springsteen -- He performed in the football stadium when I was in college. I didn't have tickets but I sat outside on my dorm balcony and listened to the show
•Jump, Little Children -- Waited for hours for their concert and then got really sick and had to leave before it started. But I did get to meet them and help them unload their tour bus!
•A variety of city symphony-orchestras at symphonic rock concerts
•Henry Cho, stand-up comic who was a part of the 2003 Amy Grant & Vince Gill Simply Christmas tour
•Kirk Cameron, THE MAN -- saw him as the narrator for Epcot's Candlelight Processional in 2007
•Melissa Peterman of "Reba", who appeared as a surprise guest performer at the Reba & Kelly; 2 Worlds, 2 Voices Tour
•Justin Kredible, a comedian, emcee, and magician who performed at the Jason Mraz Music, Magic & Make Peace Tour
•La Toya London, of "American Idol" fame -- I saw her perform in The Color Purple: The Musical
†I feel the need to point out that these were awful and I would never have seen them if not for the acts they were touring with.

I just wanted to say that as I was reading that, I thought you meant Nick Carter and his family. I got excited inside until I read the next line.AwallaceUNC wrote: Carter Family

Adding to my list from 2007, I've seen Hanson 6 times now, Jonas Brothers: 4 concerts plus other smaller appearances/performances, and Miley Cyrus, and Demi Lovato opened for Jonas Brothers (she's notable because I like her a lot). I saw the 2008 Disney Channel Games concert, which had Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Cheetah Girls, Jordan Pruitt...and maybe that's it . I think that's all up to update. In August I'll be seeing Jonas Brothers again.
My list who I'd like to see would still have Backstreet Boys be #1, Britney Spears (I didn't include her in 2007 because that was during her, um, awkward phase), Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson (who I saw perform for the 2007 WDW Christmas Parade (she performed one song [3 times] at Cinderella Castle, but I'd like to see her perform a real concert), Ashley Tisdale, Paul McCartney, Aerosmith would be cool, Ashley Parker Angel (especially if he puts out another album), 'NSync (if they ever tour together again!), Avril Lavigne, Britt Nicole would be cool, Elton John and Billy Joel- together!, probably Miranda Cosgrove if her album is as good as I'm hoping for, Taylor Swift would be fun, The Beach Boys (who I missed at Epcot last time they were there
I love seeing Davy Jones at Epcot, so I'd love to see him again. Nelson is always fun, too, but last time we were at Epcot when they were, Bobby didn't want to watch them.

Please don't laugh:
High School Musical.
It was the first and last concert I've ever been to. I was invited and couldn't pass it up. It was so much fun, but the saddest part was that my friends and I were probably the oldest ones there.
Furthermore, no one else around us got up, danced, or sang along. We were like "we paid $56 for these ticket. You bet we're going to sing and dance along. Screw everyone else."

I am so jealous. I wanted to go so badly, but I went on vacation when the tour came to Florida, and when it came to New Hampshire (I was home for Christmas in Massachusetts), I didn't have my car or anyone to bring me. I was crushed. Same type of thing happened back in 1998 for Hanson, except I couldn't drive- I just had no one to bring me.tsom wrote:Please don't laugh:

I would definitely be dancing and singing along. I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm 24 now, so, what, I would've been 21, 22? No shame here.

I think its funny that I've never posted in this thread. To be fair, I would never remember all the acts I've seen. I started my concert going early and never really stopped. so here's what I remember vaguely.
Clint Black (this was during the One Emotion tour...like 94/95? at the fair)
Tim McGraw w/Faith Hill (also at the fair a year or two after)
after that it gets a little foggy until...
Evanescence (2x) - Aug 2003/Oct 2006 (...I actually missed the chance to see them again, but I didnt want to see KoRn)
A Perfect Circle/Mars Volta - Mar 2004

Sorry you missed Fleetwood Mac. As fate would have it, I saw them for the first time in my life just a few nights ago, on Saturday, 6/20, at the New Orleans Arena, and since I was thinking of posting a review somewhere anyway, here goes:
They played for almost 3 hours! The concert ended exactly 3 hours after it started, but then again, it started a little late - I'm guessing about 20 minutes.
The focus was on the hits, so I recognized almost all the songs. There was some album tracks from the Rumours album as well that I recognized. I am not very familiar with all their older stuff, but something I read made me think one of the few songs I didn't recognize was from the days before Buckingham and Nicks were in the band!
Most of my fave songs by them are the well-known songs with Stevie Nicks or Christine McVie on lead vocals. Since Christine is no longer in the group, only one of her lead vocal songs was played ("Say You Love Me" with Stevie and Lindsey alternating vocals). Her presence was missed, but I knew about this before the show, so I knew not to expect much, if any, of her songs.
Stevie sang pretty much all of my favorites by her: "Gypsy", "Sara", "Dreams", "Rhiannon", "Landslide", and a killer "Stand Back", which was a nice surprise since it was a solo recording not done with the band.
"Landslide", done only with acoustic guitar accompaniment by Buckingham, was a poignant emotional peak of the show, made even more so due to the fact that it was prefaced by a long, heartfelt dedication to the city of New Orleans (my hometown) and how Stevie always loved the city and knew it would come back strong from the hurricane devestation.
Lindsey sang a lot of his songs as well, including "The Chain", "Tusk" and an acoustic "Big Love". The set closed with "Go Your Own Way" and the final encore was , expectedly, the fun, upbeat, and anthemic "Don't Stop".
The rhythm section of Mick Fleetwood on drums and John Mc Vie on bass was tight, energetic, and powerful. Lindsey Buckingham on guitar was full of energy, stage presence, and incredible solos and guitar parts displaying a wide range and virtuosity. Stevie didn't do as much of her trademark dancing and whirling as I've seen her do in old footage, but she seemed to gain energy as the show went on, and she sounded good on vocals.
The band was augmented by three female backup singers, a keyboard player, and another guitarist.
The band overall was tight and powerful, and had an energy that made me not realize while I was watching them that they are in their early 60's! It's good to see them still filling arenas after all these years. One thing I enjoyed about the show was that not only was the band 20+ years older than me, but so were a large percentage of the audience. I'm in my 30's, so this made me feel like a teenager again, when I first started going to gigs and most people at the shows were older than me!

I saw Clapton. Our seats were amazing. right in the middle, 13 rows back, on the aisle. I took tons of pictuires, but I had to fight my unsteady hand, the people in front of us, and their lighting rig.
The setlist was ok, but because it was Clapton with Winwood there was more of a focus on Blind Faith and Traffic (which I'm not as familiar with) than there was on EC's solo stuff. It's okay, they were amazing either way. However, they played Little Wing during the MSG shows, and it wasnt on the setlist for this part of the tour. Probably the saddest omission for me. It was Eric, Steve, another guitarist and keyboards, bass, drums and 2 backup singers. Everyone was good...and Clapton was Freaking Clapton. Also, he looked at me!!! I was so happy. and I got the tshirt
It looks like this one, except it's blue and green, and changes their names around (Clapton on top, Winwood at bottom).

Yeah, I keep my stubs, too (even though concert tickets aren't really "stubs" like how movie tickets are stubs). For the past few years, I've been putting them in a tissue box, but I'm sure I have others in photo albums and probably just in my desk somewhere...I'm not always a neat person! I didn't use them to make my list, though.
