I hope the title is provisional. Calling the sequel "Hocus Pocus 2" sounds cheap and inelegant. They should give it a subtitle instead of a number.

Even the 2 along the logo looks cheap

Of course this is provisional! But the look and feel of the font is amazing in my opinion! And to see the original cast reprise their roles will be loads of fun!

Yep. I imagine there could be a Hocus Pocus 3 down the road if this one does well (provided the actresses were interested).

I'm actually not surprised by this. It seemed too much for Adam Shankman to direct both this sequel and the Enchanted one, especially when it seems they're planning to release them both soon. I haven't seen any film by Anne Fletcher, but I don't care that much about this sequel. If she had replaced Shankman as director for Disenchanted, then I would've been more worried.

They could call it Hocus Pocus - The Witches Are Back. But then again, that could very well be the title of the first one as well.

New logo. I guess they're really just going to call it Hocus Pocus 2 instead of Hocus Pocus: Subtitle, huh? :eyebrow:
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will reprise their roles as the delightfully wicked Sanderson Sisters in Hocus Pocus2, coming fall 2022 to Disney Plus.

I find the new logo more plain and boring that the previous one. Aside from the oversized number, its colors and the shading were much better. Which one do you prefer?

The first logo is definitely more shiny and eye-catching, but there's nothing *wrong* with the new one!

I prefer the new one. It has a less wonky-looking 2 and the gold makes it more classic witchy. Admittedly a subtitle instead of a number would make it more classic witchy as well, but the first movie really is a wacky comedy and the 2 fits that more I think. Also, you gotta know which film is in which order!

I also prefer the new logo. I find it classier. I thought the logo for this sequel was completely different from the one for the first movie, but after comparing the two, I've noticed they've kept some elements of it, like the shape of the two initials. I hadn't noticed the "C" in "Pocus" was a moon either.

The DisInsider was right then that Anne Fletcher had replaced Adam Shankman. And, as we suspected, it's because Shankman couldn't do both this film and Disenchanted. It's nice he'll still get to produce the film, though.

It's funny you said that. That's very similar to the title of the original movie in Spain, which is El Retorno de las Brujas (The Return of the Witches). When I was a child, at first I thought it was a sequel because of that.

I love the logo, but I think it would look a lot better if it were Hocus Pocus II.

Meanwhile, I'm very excited about it, I'm super curious to see it and see how the story will be like.

I never realized the original film's logo or this new one has a moon in it, D82. Good catch!

I don't think the official synopsis has been posted, right? Here it is:
Three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.

No, we hadn't seen that yet. Three women? Very interesting. I bet they won't put in anything about virgins this time.

^Yeah, they probably won't. Judging by the synopsis, it seems these three young women are going to be the protagonists. I wonder who they'll be. Could Thora Birch be one of them or is she too old now to be considered a "young woman"?

I was thinking Thora Birch would be one of the women, too.
