Because this movie has gotten waaaay more praise than it deserves, when it actually displays truly hypocrisy, sends a wrong message and is a product just for cash. Think about it. The crew, Miley talked about that this movie was about Hannah choosing between the two worlds and the film was pretty much leading up to that conclusion. No, it's not impossible that Miley would still appreciate the things she learned in Crowley Corners, but the way the film solved this was very weak. She was singing a song about the things she had learned and tried to convince the audience as she had learned it, too. Yet she was practically forced to be Hannah again just to please her fans. Sure, Miley really wanted to be Hannah, but wasn't she tired of living a double life? Didn't she said it right before she took her wig off?Just because the film ended the way it did doesn't mean she didn't walk away appreciating the simple life more than she did when she arrived. She showed over the course of the film how much she values and has an appreciation for the simple life. If one feels good at the conclusion of the film with the positive music what's so bad about that? I love the song "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home" and it made me feel good and I felt it summed up the message of the film. What's wrong with people feeling this about the film?
Yes, Miley could still be Hannah and be a more wiser person, but lets face it; We humans are creatures that get often used to things. Miley had gotten used to the life as a celebrity and all the things it included and now she was getting back to those things; A life as a celebrity (like Hannah Montana) is very superficial and shallow and it would be very easy to assume that Miley would return to be superficial and shallow again, surrounded by those things. If you get what I mean.
No, a film doesn't have to be truly realistic, but the non-realism in this film was extremely cringe-worthy. At least the fact that nobody recognizes Miley as Hannah makes at least more sense in the show, since she is Miley at school and Hannah on the evenings (although the show is far from realistic, though, but whatever). Even in the show Miley got recognized when she was singing as Hannah. In the film, nobody (not even the highly annoying Oswald) recognized her as Hannah when she was singing "Hoedown Throwdown". Neither Travis and Lorelai, who were spending weeks with Miley, didn't recognize her as Hannah.Did the film have to be 100% realistic though? Did the film have to be 100% original?
