Hmm
I can't wait for November 2nd. First day buy for me! Do you guys think they'll give a 10$ off coupon for TS3? Anyway I noticed that they'll be selling a trilogy box for the 3 movies and they all contain digital copy...why couldn't they do that with the release of TS & ST2 this march? Oh well.
Re: Hmm
They will most likely put up a coupon, (but I have never been able to figure out how to print themLorddh wrote:I can't wait for November 2nd. First day buy for me! And Disney loves money. Why release one complete DVD when you can just release another one later???:o

Actually, when you redeem a digital copy code---Disney's anyway---the connection to iTunes is only necessary for validating the code. You're not downloading the digital copy from an iTunes server, it's present on the disc. It's kind of a one-shot waste of hard media, but it makes for a faster & friendlier transfer than would be the wait for a 1 GB-plus download. I'd be happy if DCs were included on bonus materials discs but that would likely displease some who would take umbrage at the substantial reduction in real estate for other extras.Disneydood wrote:Oh I know, I'm not judging anyone (nor do I think it should be illegal), I'm saying it's so pointless for Disney to not just give it for free and save everyone the trouble. A separate disc is not even needed, it's usually just a nine-digit itunes code you redeem and that's it. Or not, in this case.

Well you see I found a message from Disney Movies that said, "Thanks for making "Toy Story 3" such a hit this year!" In fact, here is the site from Facebook.Kyle wrote:what does that have to do with facebook?

The cover art on DVDactive shows the spines for the dvd and two blu-ray covers: http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/toy-story-3.html
This makes me want to get the 2-disc blu-ray so i won't have toy story 2 AND 3 in red spines.

Well so far this TS3 art and cover has done nothing to please me.. haha.magicalwands wrote:The cover art on DVDactive shows the spines for the dvd and two blu-ray covers: http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/toy-story-3.html

I wanted a style similar to the first two Blus - nope.
I wanted a vibrant color to match the first two - nope.
I wanted the spine to have a yellow or green color (hopefully to match the style) - nope.
I wanted Buzz to be the character on the spine - nope.
I wasn't planning on getting the combo anyways, but the 2-disc's cover art altogether is more appealing in my opinion, especially putting them together with the other two. (Definitely wouldn't want both 2 and 3 to have that red spine, bleck. Atleast black is a different color altogether.)
Thanks for sharing magicalwands.

The best you can do is stick with the 2-disc blu-ray and keep the slipcovers on all three. So, TS - Buzz, TS2 - Jessie, TS3 - Woody. The framing of the characters will be different but we just got to live with it.Heartless wrote:I wanted Buzz to be the character on the spine - nope.
And, the 2-disc blu-ray is probably a thin case like the first two. The combo pack is probably fat.

This! Although I was hoping that at least Buzz or Woody was going to be on the spine of Toy Story 3, that way each of the movies will have Buzz, Woody, and Jessie!SmartAleck25 wrote:I personally don't care about the spine color or the character on it, I just want what's inside!
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Toy Story's blu-ray has Woody on the spine, not Buzz.magicalwands wrote:The best you can do is stick with the 2-disc blu-ray and keep the slipcovers on all three. It'll be this on the spines (in order): Woody, Jessie, Woody.
Obviously, to me the movie is the important thing. I'd just prefer the cover art to match the others for continuity sake.

It probably will only be good for the combo pack. The last few coupons only worked with the combos.The_Iceflash wrote:really?MutantEnemy wrote:Plus the inevitable $10 off coupon is only good for the combo pack!
Has anyone seen what the Futureshop/Best Buy Iron Pack is going to look like for Toy Story 3?
