What do you mean exactly?

Here, in Holland, they started numbering the spines with the release of Snow White, at the end of 2009. In it was a sticker sheet with the numbers 1 to 50. Is that what you're thinking of?

The Tinker Bell spine are the best form of conformity Disney has employed so far. Too bad they messed it up for the BDs in Australia (here's a pic of the DVDs lined up).

I believe the first does have the picture on the spine but the rest don´t.

Did they include a number on the spine of the Snow White Diamond Edition Blu-Ray in the end? I'm trying to find it. The only one I've seen it on is the one that comes packaged in a box set with Tangled and I would have got that but I saw an unboxing video on YouTube and the barcode has a sticker over it saying "not for individual resale" (just like the Bambi box set) which put me off.

I want to know that too - I recently started buying UK Disney Blu-rays but I'm still missing Snow White. I've enjoyed the uniformity of the spines so far, hopefully the same applies to SW.

Luckily I managed to find one on Amazon UK, so I kinda answered my own question
It was pretty expensive, it cost me a little over £50. Shop around and just keep asking, I messaged at least 10+ sellers and 90% of them got back to me saying that it didn't have a yellow number on the spine but eventually my luck turned around and one replied saying it had the numbered spine I was delighted because I was starting to think the only one with a yellow Disney Classics number was the "Snow White"/"Tangled" box set, as that was the only one I'd actually seen it on.
I haven't received the Blu-Ray yet (I ordered it this weekend) but I'll let you know when it arrives and maybe even post a picture or two to prove it does in fact exist.

Bah, I don't have the option to shop on Amazon marketplace (I'm guessing that's where you found your copy), because for some reason 99% of the sellers tend to not ship to my country. Right now my best option is eBay but no luck so far - I did manage to find a fantastically priced Snow White/Tangled boxset, but I quickly cooled down when I found out both movies are single-disc editions.

I agree. I've come to the conclusion that the cost of time and money needed for tracking down editions with slipcovers just wouldn't be worth the effort, so I've given up on it. One could argue that pursuing numbered spines editions is not much different from pursuing slipcovers, but at least it's not as extensive as with the slipcovers. Speaking of which, if anyone here needs slipcovers for UK editions of The Lion King and Lady and the Tramp DEs, as well as the Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 2 movie collection box set's, well, box, let me know, and maybe we can arrange some sort of a free-of-charge/shipping-cost-only handover.

I don't think many people in the UK would make a list. Since it began circa 2010, I can assume that nearly all animated classics that received a new release got the numbering, though I remember seeing the Winnie the Pooh DVD in a supermarket, and recall that there was no numbering.

I can also imagine that most major animated classics in were re-released with the numbering. From personal observation, though, I've noticed that some of the repackaged films can still be found in their original jackets, probably since stocks have been completely exhausted. The only films I'm certain haven't been repackaged at all are films like the package features, which ultimately can normally only be found online these days anyway.

Hi everyone,

I've just stumbled upon this thread and I thought I'd share my thoughts on the Disney Classics Spine Logos. If anyone has seen any of my YouTube videos, you will know that I am a big fan of the logos and think a full collection will look incredible. Because of that, I have modified the spines of each of my Disney Classic DVDs and sequels so they fit the pattern.

Hopefully I will have attatched a photo of my collection to this post, or you can check out a video on YouTube. Sorry for the really bad quality - I wanted to fit the whole collection in. As you'll be able to see, they don't look incredible (you could even say some of them look tacky), but I like them and I'd love to hear any thoughts that anyone on here may have about the collection.

Ah, I see... So I take it that newer BD releases like The Princess and the Frog and Tangled should come 'equipped' with the numbered spines? But what about Bolt, Dinosaur, Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons Blu-rays?
