Recently, I bought:
Anchorman - Had to replace my old scratched copy. Be careful which friends you lend your DVDs to!
Leatherheads - I saw this at the theater(mostly because I love John Krasinski), and it's still very cute.
Spaced: The Complete Series - Love. This. Show! I got into it last year when I watched the whole series on YouTube, but I just got around to buying the DVDs now. If you liked Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz you should check it out.
Iron Man: 2-Disc Special Edition - Because everyone else bought it today, lol... Awesome movie, though, watching it now!

I am sure someone had to think of this before, but I realized today, even when I buy a Blu Ray player, I will still be forced to buy the DVDs TOO!
I certainly won't have a Blu Ray player in every room. Only the living room with the widescreen HDTV needs one. So then, if I want to watch a newer movie in my bedroom, I need to buy DVD.
Another reason I still have to buy DVD...Portable DVD player. I see NO reason to even manufacturer a portable Blu Ray player. For the same reason I would want to watch a BluRay on my little bedroom tv.
One more reason...my laptop and my daughter's PC...if we want to watch it on either or look at the special features only available on the computer, we can't use a BluRay disc.
My conclusion: Every new movie release should go like Sleeping Beauty and give you a regular DVD copy of the movie. I don't even care if its bare-bones. I want to be able to watch a movie in my room too without double dipping!

Or like HD DVD, be able put both versions on the same disc. But wait... HD DVD lost!
Yes, Paka, that was somewhat tongue in cheek so don't rail at me. But I did like the combo disc. I won't be taking any new movies to my parent's house this Christmas to watch over the holidays together.

Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database
