It will be part of the Spring 2007 CD Roundup, which will hopefully be published by the Disneymania 5 release date.

Well, I can't sleep and I just checked iTunes and Disney Mania 5 was up for sale, so I bought it and will give my two cents on the whole album (I'm so bored. Why can't I sleep? grrr!)

1.) Part of Your World- Miley Cyrus: Why do people like this girl? The first couple seconds of the music were kind of good. They kept the tune the same, but played it with guitars... then Miley started singing. I hate her raspy throaty voice. To me, it seriously sounds like she's moving a bowel while she sings. The song gets better towards the end when everything gets so processed and there are so many backup singers that you can't tell it's Miley. I give it a 2/5.

2.) Two Worlds- Corbin Bleu: I understand people liking him and his Disney Channel movies, but he doesn't have much vocal power. This song adds alot of synth to what should be a more rock song. Corbin has a soft (sometimes whinney) voice and it doesn't fit the song. This song is way to big for his voice and it engulfs him. No amount of backup singers could have saved this song. This one also gets a 2/5.

3.) So This Is Love- The Cheetah Girls: I'm not a Cheetah Girls fan. I hated their past Disney Mania songs and from the preview of this song, I thought it would be God aweful. It surprisingly isn't as bad as I expected. That's not saying it's spectacular, but it's not that bad and I no longer mind the changes made to the song. I really like when it switches to Spanish as well. 3/5.

4.) I Wan'na Be Like You- The Jonas Brothers: I do like The Jonas Brothers' Disney covers and this one is in league with their others. Very punk rock, but it fits the song and they did more with it than Smash Mouth did. I prefer this version to that version. I give it a 4/5 and this is the best song on Disney Mania 5.

5.) When She Loved Me- Jordan Pruitt: I love the original version of this song. Jordan Pruitt's version doesn't change very much and she sings alot like Sarah McLachlan, so it sounds more like one of those Kids Bop renditions, but it's not bad. This one also gets a 4/5 from me, but it's not as good as the previous song.

6.) Kiss The Girl (Pop Version)- Ashley Tisdale- I don't hear a difference between this version and the version released on the TLM soundtrack. I wonder if iTunes mislabled it? Anyways, I like the uptempo punk/pop version of this song. I don't care for Miss Tisdale's voice, but she doesn't sound bad on this song. Another 4/5.

7.) The Second Star to the Right- T-Squad: My favorite Disney song of all time in the worst form it's ever been released in. I don't like T-Squad and this song starts off so horribly. It takes forever to get into the actual song and do we really need the introduction to each member? When the actual song starts, it's not completely aweful, but I wouldn't call it good. I especially hate the talk/rap segments. When they are singing, it's not too bad. In total, I give it a 2/5.

8.) Cruella De Vil- Hayden Panettiere: Probably the best cover of this song. I like Hayden's voice. I don't care much for the arrangement of the song, but it's not bad. 3/5.

9.) Colors of the Wind- Vanessa Hudgens: This is one of those songs that gets done on Disney Mania alot. This is deffinatley the worst version. Vanessa sings kind of nasal and the new beat doesn't fit well. Deffinatley the worst version of the song I've ever heard. 2/5.

10.) Go The Distance- Lucas Gabrielle: Weird background music and Lucas does not have the vocal power to make this song as good as it should be. Also, the pop arrangement is not good. He does a lot of guy whines (like Nick Lachey) and it drives me crazy. Then the song picks up tempo and becomes slightly better. 2/5.

11.)Siamese Cat Song- B5: I'm not a B5 fan. I don't mind the beat, but I hate when Disney songs get turned into rap songs. And I hate the muffled talking in the background during the chorus. Why do it? Hilary and Haley Duff did a better job. 2/5.

12.) Reflection- Everlife: Another song that gets covered on Disney Mania frequently. I don't think anybody can ever top Christina Aguilera's version. I like the guitar that's been added, but the lead singer doesn't have enough power to pull it off and she gets nasal on high notes. 3/5.

13.) Let's Get Together- The GoGo's: Yes it is the 80's band, as has already been pointed out. I was hoping this would sound better than it does, but I'm pretty dissapointed. I think the original Haylie Mills version had was more upbeat. They add guitar and stuff, but somehow it doesn't get me into it. I think it's the new rifs created for it. Sadly, a 3/5.

14.) True to Your Heart- Keke Palmer: When Stevie Wonder has anything to do with a song, people should just leave it alone because it can't be done as good. A google search tells me she was in Jump In. The new beat isn't as appealing as the original music and her talking during the song annoys me. She doesn't sing it as good as Raven did. 2/5.

15.) Find Yourself- Drew Seeley: I'm a huge Brad Paisley fan and I love this song. It works so well as a Country song, the way it was written. It looses it's quality when turned into a pop song. Drew sings it well, but I don't care for the song done this way. Another 3/5.

As you can see, overall I give it 2/5. Deffinatley the weakest Disney Mania so far, as Aaron said in his review, which is now on the main page.

Thanks, Aaron. I corected my mistake, sorry about that, and great job on the roundup. I will be heading out today to pick up the "Meet The Robinsons" soundtrack. I like having the physical CD for Disney animated movies.

Good, thoughtful review, goofystitch!
I thought I would put my own spin on the CD, just to give atiny glimmer of hope to this CD for those who still enjoy these CDs for what they are. :P

1.) Part of Your World- Miley Cyrus: I thought this was entertaining. It wasn't all that different from Skye Sweetnam's stellar pop/punk version, but it was still good. I do agree that Miley's voice is not the best. I give this song a 3.5/5.

2.) Two Worlds- Corbin Bleu: A very surprising choice for a cover turns into a pleasing cover. Corbin's style might not have caught the song in all its potential glory, but it was a fun take on a good song. I give this song 4/5.

3.) So This Is Love- The Cheetah Girls: Not my favorite Cheetah Girls song. I was excited about this song, because it was a lesser known one. I think if they had gone the way they took "If I Never Knew You," I would have liked it more (but so many on this forum hated that song, so I'm probably in the minority). The Spanish verse is unwelcome as well. It doesn't fit the original song at all. I give this song a 2/5.

4.) I Wan'na Be Like You- The Jonas Brothers: As much as everyone seems to like this song, I kinda can't stand it. The high-pitched "Oh!" at the very beginning turned me off right away. It's fun, I guess, but the music seemed like it went all over the place. I wish the Jonas Brothers, who I usually like, had chosen a different song. I'm guessing we can see this music video on the Platinum Edition in October. I give this song a 3/5.

5.) When She Loved Me- Jordan Pruitt: Beautifully executed. Jordan's voice was great, and the music style was good. Admittedly very similar to the original, but still highly enjoyable. I give this song a 4/5.

6.) Kiss The Girl- Ashley Tisdale: I don't think this song was supposed to be different from the track featured on the DVD. I like this song more every time I listen to it. Easily my favorite reincarnation of this song. The pop/rock style is done well, and covers up Ashley's lacking voice. I give this a 3.5/5.

7.) The Second Star to the Right- T-Squad: My favorite movie's anthem is butchered. I believe Escapay said it best when he said T-Squad would go down in history as the group that ruined this song. Their style is very unappealing, and they just repeat the same lyrics over and over (and over and over). I give this song, sadly, a 1/5.

8.) Cruella De Vil- Hayden Panettiere: I've said it before and I'll say it agin- this song is DisneyMania suicide. The song cannot be done differently fro it's original version, and all its versions sound the same. Hayden does fathoms better than Lalaine, but is on the same peg as Skye's version. I wish she had chosen a different song. I give this song a 2.5/5.

9.) Colors of the Wind- Vanessa Hudgens: Definitely one of my favorites on the CD. To start off, she sings the entire song! Every other version of this song has left off the prologue ("You think I'm an ignorant savage..."), and starts with "You think you own..." I commend Vanessa for doing the entire song. Throughout the rest of the song, her style clearly comes through. A little pitchy at the beginning, but in the end we get a very enjoyable song. I give this song a 4/5.

10.) Go The Distance- Lucas Grabeel: Like Vanessa, Lucas' own style is clearly heard in this song. He sings it well, and the musical arrangement is pleasingly different from Kaci and JoJo's R&B version. I give this song a 4.5/5.

11.)Siamese Cat Song- B5: Utterly unlistenable. Why these people are recording anything, I'll never know. They had so much room to improve Hilary's version (which was sub-par, in my opinion, especially for Hilary), and they made it worse. I give this song a 0/5.

12.) Reflection- Everlife: I don't know what you mean when you say this song has been frequently done on DM CDs. It's only been done once by Christina (and that version wasn't even a DM original...they took it from the original Mulan Soundtrack), and then that version was remixed. Everlife doesn't surpass Christina, but definitely does their job well. Everlife never fails to impress me, though. I love their style and sound. A worthy addition to the CD. This, Lucas', and Vanessa's songs are probably my favorites. I give this song a 4.5/5.

13.) Let's Get Together- The GoGo's: I'm wondering if this is a new recording, or an old one just dug up for filler. It's enjoyable, but takes away from the original. It ould have been done much better. I give this song a 2/5.

14.) True to Your Heart- Keke Palmer: I like KeKe, but this song sounded almost exactly like Raven's version, and I didn't think that one was all that special. Her style is likable, just unoriginal. If she had chosen differently, she could have used her style on a new, un-redone song. I give this song a 2.5/5.

15.) Find Yourself- Drew Seeley: I really wish he had chosen a song from a more classic Disney film. The song sounds very much like the original, and doesn't show us Drew's likable pop style. Enjoyable, but lacking. I give this song a 2/5.

Overall, I would give this album a 3.5/5. I really wouldn't call this the worst DM album. For me, the worst were DM2 and DM4. This album is a definite buy for completists and those who just enjoy the songs for what they are: catchy pop twists on classic songs. I doesn't matter to me who sings it. Just that I like the song.

I for one, hope the DisneyMania line continues on. I like them. :D

I guess mentally the fact the the song has now been included three out of five times makes it feel like it's been overdone, but I forgot that Christina is still the only other person to professionally record it. I kind of feel like this song gets cramed down my throat because it is on almost every Disney compilation that gets released. And besides that, I've never really been into other people singing it. Even Jordin, who I'm a fan of, sang it on American Idol and it wasn't as good as the original.

P.S: Great review. We clearly have some different tastes on certain songs, but I like reading other people's input. I guess if there is a fan base for most of the songs, than Disney is succeeding. For me, the Disney Mania series gets worse with each album released. I don't mind most of the Disney Channel stars, but Disney is going a little overboard. I mean, 10 out of 15 artists on the CD have been in some show or movie on Disney Channel and the rest of the artists are either owned by Disney or have had music videos heavily played on Disney Channel. Compared to the original Disney Mania, which had only one Disney Channel offspring, Hilary Duff. Disney Mania 2 had 3, if you count the Circle of Stars as just one. Disney Mania 3 had 5. The 4th had 6. And now we jump to 10. If there is a Disney Mania 6, I would not be surprised if it was reduced to just one non-Disney Channel star. At that point, they should just retitle the series "Disney Channel Mania!"

I LOVE the music from Home on the Range. There are so many great songs from that film and I'm surprised nobody has tried to cover "Will The Sun Ever Shine Again" yet. Although, all of the songs were originally sung by mega-country stars and I kind of don't want to hear them butchered on Disney Mania albums.

Anyways, what's more interesting than how many times movie music has been redone is how many times the same songs have been done.

Some Day My Prince Will Come- 2
Under the Sea- 2
You'll Be In My Heart- 2
When You Wish Upon A Star- 3
Colors of the Wind- 3
I Wan'na Be Like You- 2
Part of Your World- 3
Can You Feel the Love Tonight- 2
Kiss The Girl- 3
Reflection- 3
Circle of Life- 2
True to Your Heart- 2
It's A Small World- 2
Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah- 3
Siamese Cat Song- 2
A Whole New World- 2
The Second Star to the Right- 2
A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes- 3
Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride- 2
Cruella de Vil- 2

I listened to some of these songs on YouTube- wow, what a disappointing "DisneyMania" album.

I love Ashley Tisdale's "Kiss the Girl", but I already ripped it from the TLM DVD. I also liked Everlife's "Reflection", and I may download that.

Drew Seeley sounds really good singing "Find Yourself" but I've never paid attention to the original, so I won't be downloading this.

Other songs that I kind of liked, and may or may not download are:
The Cheetah Girls "So This Is Love", Jordan Pruitt "When She Loved Me", Hayden Panettiere "Cruella De Vil" (at least it's an improvement on LaLaine's), Vanessa Hudgens "Colors of the Wind".

I didn't like the other songs, which is disappointing (but good for my wallet)- I was really looking forward to Corbin Bleu & Lucas Grabeel's songs. I really wish that Aly & AJ sang "Let's Get Together"- the Go-Go's version I thought was borning.

All in all, I may spend 88 cents on DS5, to download the Everlife song. Or I may not download it. I do love "Kiss the Girl", though- it's my favorite DisneyMania version of a song (besides Christina Aguilera's "Reflection").

I enjoyed reading your thoughts on each song too. Clearly, we disagree on most of them, but your post was still really interesting and clearly evidenced some thoughtful reflection. :)

Not that I disagree, but I'm not the one who said that. Those words belong to Mr. Escapay -- he wrote the Jump In soundtrack review. :)

I think we can all agree there's way too much T-Squad in this spring's CD selection.

I bought the cd and I'm impressed with following

1. Part Of Your World: Ms. Cyrus has such a lovely voice when she's not doing country/rock, the voice sounds raspy, probaly due to finishing the Hannah Montana soundtracks and it amazes moi how upbeat she made this song instead of Jessica Simpson's slow ballad of it.

3. So This Is Love: Quite fun listening to a bilingual song, especialy when it swtiches to spanish, the beats are reflecting from the orignal score.

4. Be Like You: Jonas Bros did a heck alot more then Smash Mouth did, course J.B sound like they came off of Meet The Robinsons soundtrack but it's still a good track especialy the style of it. The boys could've thrown in some of King Louie's lines here/there and included Baloo/Louie's scat battle too.

8. Cruela De Vil: I agree with Lost Boy and GoofyStitch bout this track, it's better than Laiane's verison, Hayden does a much better job, the way it starts with Roger's Cruella De Vill...That's it" was perfect for a intro. hopeful we'll see this on the Platinum Editon. Skye's verison is also pretty good too but Hayden's voice/tone has a feel good tone.

10. Go The Distance: Lucas's remake is intresting, I've never heard any other verison of this song except the film's. He's not solo material but the lad knows how to feel the song's message of Hope and finding yourself within.

Disspointed

7 2nd Star: I agree with everybody, T-Sqaud butchered my fav. star song with a semi hip-hop/rap, Jesse McCartney's 2nd Star is much better than these rif rafs. But at least they gave it a shot, Nikki/Jade were the only saviors of this song and I have high doubts bout this group's solo album.

11. Siamise Cat: B5's beat is remincest of "Big Bad Wolf", the group's take is silmar to Hillary's verison, so much could've be done with this song. Maybe they'll choose a song that won't include hip/rap.

13. Get Together: I love the beat and Go Go, it would've been fun with Aly/AJ performing this classic song with some soundbytes from the orignal. This remake contains too much riffs and such, but I look forward to seeing 'em on D.M 6.

That's my review of D.M 5.

my analasye of Disney Mania 5
:D =5
:) =4
:P =3
:( =2
:x =1
 =0

Part of Your World-Miley Cyrus :) this was a good song that she did. but it would've been 5 if it wasn't a little fast in the word department.
Two Worlds-Corbin Blue :D this song was exulent.
This Is Love-The Cheeth Girls :P i would've rated it higher if it was all in spanish since it was better in spanish than english.
I Wan'na Be Like You-Jonas Brothers :) better than smash mouth's version but they should've made it better.
When She Loved Me-Jordan Pruitt :x it was the exact same song but with a girl whos voice sounded like it was cracking throughout the song.
Kiss The Girl-Ashley Tisdale :D i've loved this song since October.
The Second Star To The Right-T-squad :D this song was so wonderful no mater what you bashers say.
Cruella De Vil-Hayden Panettiere :) a little better than Lalaines but could have improvement.
Colors Of The Wind-Vanessa Hudgens :) better than Cristy's but not as good as Ashanti's not by a long shot. like the fact that it had the full song.
Go The Distance-Lucas Grabeel :o :D he sounded so different from when he was on High School Musical last i heard. better than listening to the original on a CD since it has that gigantic gap in the middle of the song.
Simese Cat Song-B5 :) could have improvement.
Reflection-Everlife :) if it was more upbeat like their other songs it would've gotton higher.
Let's Get Together-The Go-Go's :) that was a good version of Let's Get Together that i ever heard.
True To Your Heart-Keke Palmer :) at first sounded sounded like something you would hear from a boombox on the street for a danceoff but the second half sounded like something you would hear in church :o .
Find Yourself-Drew Seeley :D haven't heard the original so i can't compare it but it was gooooood.

EDIT: i remembered a little something about when Disney Mania first came. it had an ad in Kingdom Hearts but get this but Britney Spears appeared on the cover for it. and in the lower right it said VOL. 1 POP!. do you think they were thinking of this type of concept for it where each one was going to be a different cenre? next time i'll bring my anasyse of the other DM'S.

ok my review of the CD. :)

1.) Part of Your World- Miley Cyrus:
This version STUNK BIG TIME! Skye Sweetnam's version is 100% better. Skye can rock, Miley can't! Simple as that! 1/5

2.) Two Worlds- Corbin Bleu:
He did an OK job. I do think Corbin has a good voice but really bad song choice for him. He should have picked another song to sing. 3/5

3.) So This Is Love- The Cheetah Girls:
This song was OOOOKKKKK. The spanish part really wasn't needed in the song AT ALL! Not the cheetah girl's best, but I'll live lol. 3/5

4.) I Wan'na Be Like You- The Jonas Brothers:
Smash Mouth's is so much better than this version. I would have liked to seen poor unfortunate souls than this song. 3/5

5.) When She Loved Me- Jordan Pruitt:
The best song on the WHOLE CD! Jordan really did a great job!
10/5

6.) Kiss The Girl- Ashley Tisdale:
Alot better than vitamin C's version and NO Secrets, still, it could have been better, IMO. 3/5

7.) The Second Star to the Right- T-Squad:
Jesse McCartney's version is A LOT better than this version!
2/5

8.) Cruella De Vil- Hayden Panettiere:
Great song, I am a Hayden fan and she pulled it off. :)
4/5

9.) Colors of the Wind- Vanessa Hudgens:
I think Ashanti's Version is the best IMO BUT, Vanessa sings the whole song and that's what I like about this version. Yes her vocals really aren't that great but this is a great song. :) 4/5

10.) Go The Distance- Lucas Grabeel:
He was very weak vocaly but the song was ok. 3/5

11.)Siamese Cat Song- B5:
I really like this version. It is a great hip-hop version of the song. I am a B5 fan so I do like. :)
5/5

12.) Reflection- Everlife:
Finally, someone else does this song LOL.
Everlife pulled it off. I still like their version of look through my eyes the best. :) 4/5

13.) Let's Get Together- The GoGo's:
BLAH LOL! Nothing special about this song AT ALL! 3/5

14.) True to Your Heart- Keke Palmer:
Raven wanna be! Worse song on the WHOLE ALBUM! 0/5

15.) Find Yourself- Drew Seeley:
Drew has a great voice. He does a really nice job on the song. 4/5

April Fools Day is over, Disneyfreak1990. That rumored track list for the sixth volume is most deffinatley not real for so many reasons:

1.) Disney Mania albums don't begin recording directly after the previous album was released.

2.) Given the quality of the more recent albums, Disney would not shell out the cash for some of the top name acts mentioned.

3.) "Walking On Sunshine" is NOT a Disney song.

4.) Hilary Duff would NEVER collaborate with her arch nemesis, Lindsay Lohan.

5.) "Once Upon A Dream" might get done again, but it more than likely would not be a recreation of the terrible "Once Upon Another Dream."

6.) Why would the Circle of Stars do a song from a non-Platinum title/a film not slated for another DVD release anytime soon?

7.) Orlando Brown raps and would not sing on "A Whole New World." Disney also wouldn't hand their most famous song over to two ex-Disney Channel stars with no recording contracts by the studio.

8.) Is Destiny's Child even together anymore? They all seem to be doing their own thing. And Beyonce is too big to be featured on an album with HSM rejects.

9.) Why would Justin Timberlake even do a Disney Mania album now, let alone a song like "Beauty and the Beast"?

10.) Why is Raven collaborating with Sky Sweetnam? They don't even sing similar music.

And there are so many more. If this wasn't an April Fool's joke, then just know that this track list will be nothing like what will end up on the sixth volume, if there even is one.
