From the film clip, I think it's certain that Cinderella's dress has been changed drastically for that cover art. However, in the film clip, the dress isn't particularly detailed, so maybe the artists decided to interpret it as they want. :?

Somebody probably didn't consult their Pantone swatch book.

Looks like Treamine changes time before they get busy.
Cindy sure can't ride the way Belle does.

Cinderella III theories abound!

I considered this, because I actually have seen them give her dress "more detail" in coloring pages and other product art. So you came up with something very possible(good job!). However, the veil crown is so different, I'm thinking she must have put that on before or after the wedding.

On the other hand, I prefer this wedding crown than the original-shoot me!
I think the original is not very nice because it totally covers her hair and it reminds me of these things that swimmers put on their heads!! I think this wedding outfit is a little more glamorous... but hey, we have to respect the original design anyway.

More importantly, I wonder why Cinderella and Prince Charming are wearing those outfits in the second cover(where it says, "A Perfect Fit"). Cinderella is wearing a veil and a white gown, so I'm assuming that this scene is around the time of her wedding. In the film, Cinderella wears a different gown at her wedding. She doesn't have that jagged crown and that weird top. Also, Prince Charming wore a different outfit at the wedding than the one in the picture. He had a yellow top and red pants. Maybe they changed their outfits for the wedding reception, or their honeymoon. But this movie is supposed to take place after Cinderella II, and long after their marriage or their honeymoon. So my only guess is that Lady Tremaine went back in time to their wedding night or their honeymoon. That's really weird, though.

Cinderella's outfit in that cover only slightly resembles her wedding outfit in the film. You can see the original wedding outfit here.
the movie has nothing to do with cinderella 2...because cinderella 2 was a fake sequel.

pretend that Cindy 2 didnt happen. This is the true part 2.

Good news for Cinderella III!

Post by Disney Duster »

I consider this to be good news from an interview with Frank Nissen, the director of Cinderella III:
Presently, I am working on a Cinderella sequel, Cinderella III, A Twist In Time. It has the feel of the very first Cinderella movie. It has romance, action, and humor. The Prince is much more interesting as a character in this story.
Yay! And, for what it's worth, I found some more good news on a French Disney forum and translated it into English:
Cinderella III is well the last Disney Video carried out in Australia before ke the studio of Sydney does not close her doors; to finish in beauty, the team saw itself obliged to put the mouthfuls double to lay one animates decent, which would seem to be the case: a source assure me that drawing-animated ranks quite above Cendrillon 2, that very nice and pretty C and that the pitch corresponds well to that which Fantilectric described, namely that the mantle choppe the magic wand of the godmother and fact “return in the past”…
Who knows if it's for sure? But it's still good news. And lastly, I can't beleive there hasn't been a new trailer for Cinderella III with animation from it yet! I remember seeing a trailer for Cinderella II featuring animation from it in the summer before its release date. Does anyone know if a new trailer for Cinderella III was on Brother Bear 2?

Yay, both quotes have me cautiously optimistic. Hopefully this means no more:

* Anachronistic electricity
* Cinderella using modern terms like "Eww"
* Cinderella losing all of her sarcasm
* The Prince shocking millions by proving it's possible for him to have even less screentime than he had in the original
* Cinderella using brown mustard to dye her hair
* Cinderella's magical Houdini nose
* Cinderella randomly dressing in her former rags (did she honestly bring that with her to the palace, or what?)
* Morals unabashedly pounded into our skulls

Okay, I realize I could be here another hour listing everything Cinderella III hopefully won't have. To sum it up: hopefully it won't be Cinderella II redux.

As for the trailer, I suspect we'll see it attached to The Little Mermaid since Disney tends to advertise other princess movies before showing their princess movies.

Hopefully, CII and CIII will be packaged together because I don't have CII, but would like to add it to my collection. I hope they do the same with TLMII and TLMIII.

Thomas Edison harnessed the Fairy Godmother's sparks

I didn't even notice those two. Her nose disappeared sometimes? Wow. But sometimes there are mistakes even in classics, like disappearing eyebrows or baby racoons... But the electricity has no excuse. Anyway, what you said was really funny, so, it deserves a  .

I expect a new trailer to be on The Little Mermaid Special Edition, I was just hoping for something sooner...

I don't know why, but I found that sentence hilarious!! Lol, ESPECIALLY out of context! :P

Anyhow, this is good news for Cinderella III. Finally the male character opposite Disney Heroine (besides Aladdin) is going to be more useful than just the handsome prince who makes everything better. I can't wait to see this movie we need trailers now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cinderella III: We Get It Right, Maybe?

Post by Disney Duster »

We'll be discussing the screencaps of the trailer sometime, but first a little more text about Cinderella III. I got this from here:
"Cinderella III," due out next Spring, is the kind of movie Disney Toons appears to be moving away from -- a hand-drawn sequel of a sequel to a beloved classic. ("Cinderella I" was released in 1950 and returned the studio to the realm of feature-length fairy tales after a ten-year hiatus. It was also a substantial hit.) Disney Toons new feature was the last animated at the company's now-shuttered Australian studio.

According to some of the artists who worked on the "CIII," it's also a better picture than many of the other sequels that Disney Toons has churned out...

"Of all the ones I've worked on," said one veteran Disney story artist, "'Cinderella III' is among the best. Margo Pipkin the producer knows how to direct the energy of the crew and let you do your job. There are things in it I'm not crazy about, but overall it's really nicely done."

"The animation crew in Sydney did a really great job," another artist said. "They rotoscoped a lot of live-action reference on their own, worked hard to get the characters right. You don't usually end up with delicate, subtle animation in the direct-to-video features, but there's some great scenes where you can see Cinderella reacting and thinking. That's unusual for a lot of these."

(The background keys done by Disney veteran Bob Schaeffer were also strong. Last year, when Bob showed me some of the b.g.s on which he was working, they matched the originals in almost every detail.)

The artists told me the Sydney crew knew "Cinderella III" would be the last one they would be doing, which is probably one of the reasons the animation is as strong as it is. It was the crew's hale-and-farewell. "The last teleconference we had with them, it was like they didn't want to get off the line, they wanted to keep it going. When the picture was srapping up, there were lots of inquiries about jobs here, but there really weren't any. Most of the animators are working other places now, the Phillipines or Taiwan."
Now, after the screencaps lighthousemike posted, I don't know if I can agree that the animation was worked on as much as they say, but Cinderella does look more on-model (in some scenes), as do the stepsisters, and a few shots look truly beautiful.

Well there was that one time...

Post by disneyboy20022 »

Well there was that one time when Disney Release Toy Story 2 The Woody's Roundup 2-disc edition was released on Monday the 26th of December which I still think was a brilliant marketing scheme since that is the date of christmas or rather Holiday Returns

I still think that if Disney really wanted to make more more money this year they should have waited to Release Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest until Tuesday the 26th of december of 2006. I think it might sell more copies then but no doubt it will sell well no matter what day it comes out on which I already know as many of you know is the 5th of december aka THE BIGGEST RELEASE DAY OF THE YEAR
