Oh, I think that covers it basically. Much better than the crappy list I'd have come up with.ThinkTink wrote:*A Pristine Transfer
* A few Commentary Tracks...
* A Fact Track...
* An extensive "making of" (either branching together various video features ala Aladdin or something more straightforward ala Snow White) that has:
- Both recent and archival interviews
- Footage from the recording studio
- Live-action reference footage
- Tests
- Inspiration for the music
-Mandatory 2 Hour time or over!!!...
* Some sort of general Disney feature. Possibly a Howard Ashman-esque feature like Beauty and the Beast's, but longer...
* Storyboard to Film Comparison...
* Song Demos...
* Deleted Scenes and Songs
* Extensive Galleries
- Concept Art
- Character Design
- Layouts and Backgrounds
- Ad Campaign
- Theme Parks
*Muliple Trailers and TV Spots
Can't wait for Little Mermaid PE!!

you know, as long as they learn from all the previous releases of disney DVDs, i dont mind waiting.
this dvd should, and deserves, to be the jewel in the crown of the Disney DVDS.
it launched the revival of disney animation, and its release could help up the enthusiasm of future releases

I'd be more than happy if they release it on March 2006!!! I mean why not? Things could change and the Disney company may absolutely change their minds on releasing TLM early, and anyways there is no exact proof that TLM will be released on fall 2006, except that UK website. But it might be wrong and possibly change.
Imagine the day the Cinderella DVD is released and they have a preview of TLM and at the end itsays MARCH 2006! So don't worry people, things might change.

I couldn't have said it better myself!DEREKG wrote:I can't wait for the PE release either! They need to take their time with this title. Restore everything, and it will be worth the wait! Even though fall of 2006 seems like forever. The Little Mermaid deserves only the best!
The Little Mermaid is my favorite movie of all time and I know when the Platinum Edition comes out it will be absolutely spectacular!

I hope when "The Little Mermaid" Platinum dvd comes out, they'll also release "Ariel's Undersea Adventures" to dvd! I have them all on vhs tapes but I'd REALLY like them on dvd!!! I was watching the "Princess collection" dvds earlier and that's what reminded me of all the Ariel episodes! (since Princess Party has "Message in a Bottle" and Princess Stories has "Wish Upon a Starfish") Does anyone think these Ariel episodes will be released to dvd in the future?

Well I think in the long run, Disney wants to have all, or as many as possible, of their TV series' available on DVD format, afterall its the format fo the futureMermaid Kelly wrote:I hope when "The Little Mermaid" Platinum dvd comes out, they'll also release "Ariel's Undersea Adventures" to dvd! Did you stop to think about this? (TLM)
How AWESOME this movie will be on Platinum?
Video= think of how vibrant Aladdin looks. Plus how they make the stars sparkle.
Now think, what can be done to TLM?
Audio= the only movie I can think of right now is Finding Nemo. Now, imagine that kind of sound (or better? ) because of the DEHTM.
It just makes you drool...
PS
Plus, I really want to know how they made this movie. How come could this movie was done at that time? (With the all the little bubbles of every single movement, plus how the hair and stuff moved underwater.... simply amazing)
And I bet it had to be relaxing and extremely nice to be working around all these aquariums.
