Please help with a Aladdin Gift Set question
Please help with a Aladdin Gift Set question
I am realy interested in the Aladdin Gift Set but I was wondering on the drawings.
Are they original or just copyes? Is the signatures of the artists original or just copyes?
It sounds weired if they are real, but from what Disney writes about this set it looks to be real, they are realy trying to make it sound like that atleast.

I have done an incredibly in depth review of the gift set for the site which is ready to go live pending the addition of pictures. The drawings are indeed copies, but very cool copies at that. I'd urge you to read the review before making your final choice on wheather or not to go for the gift set; it should be up soon.

I wouldn't rule it out completely. They actulally are really quite cool. It's a bit overpriced, yeah, and for the time being I'm going to be missing out on some other stuff that I'd like to have, but I'm glad I picked up my set. It could and should have been more than it is, but it is very impressivekarlsen wrote:But thanks for the help because this shows me that I don't need this edition
And you can't really fault it for being copies. Disney produced, I'd guess, a few million of these? Did you really expect each animator to draw and sign their sketch a few million times just so everyone could have an original?
Please, wait for the review before ruling out the gift set ENTIRELY. You might decide otherwise after reading it.

Even if you are a diehard it still kinda sucks, I was very disappointed. As he said the bok could have been loads better, they forgot that 5 year olds don't buy $50 gift sets.

The film frame is not really genuine either. It's a mass produced item, only made to look like it was cut from a theatrical print of the film.
It would have been much cooler if they had taken one or more real theatrical print(s) and chopped it(them) up in small pieces of a few frames each. That way they would all be different, and some (nicer scenes) might even become really valuable.
