Well the whole duck family shares some similar traits. Like bills... and feathers.

Wow, this is awesome! I bookmarked it before it even finished loading. I can't express how cool this is, lol. Btw, is that Daffy Duck hiding under Sir Eider McDuck's helmet?

Ludwig obviously isn't a blood relation.

Wow, that's amazing. Must have taken a lot of research . . . the fun kind, luckily!

It looks exactly like him! I've heard the saying 'black sheep in the family' but never 'black duck!'

As far as Scrooge goes, in this case the printed material is far above the filmed material. If you haven't checked out the adventures of Uncle Scrooge McDuck by the late great Carl Barks, or the recent equally great Don Rosa who is continuing the tradition ... do so. You're in for a real treat.

huge scroge fan, just noticed the similarity though.

Carl Barks might arguably be the createst comic book creator in history, and i say that remembering names like Lee and Kane.

i remember they were ina house of mouse episode together but i never saw it and cant remember the name.

Poor Alan Young, he sounds so old and tired as the voice of Scrooge now. I wonder who, if anyone, could replace him when he dies.

Does he really? He's one of the participants in a Battle of the Planet's commentary and inverview on the Rhino Ultimate Boxed Set, and he looks and sounds full of life!

I dunno to me he sounded kinda tired, like his voice.

I'm referring to two programs in which i noticed.

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas and a house of mouse episode in which Mickey has to travel around the world in 80 days to save an orphanage.

To me the voice just sounded a little thinner and weaker.

Scrooge McDuck

Post by Cartoon Freak »

Hi everybody!

(I hope you not think this is off-topic! :-) )

According to Don Rosa - the famous Donald writer and artist - is Scrooge McDuck dead today? He've said that Scrooge died in 1967. Do you agree? What do you mean and think? Is Scrooge McDuck dead?

I'm waiting for you opinions! :-)

If he died in 1967, then there's an imposter who's been in a TV Series, an adaptation of a Christmas classic, along with several other appearances...

Well, I don't think you give us much choice! :P But then this Don Rosa guy has been misinformed. Because Scrooge McDuck was in a little featurette called Mickey's Christmas Carol in 1983, a little show called "DuckTales" and appeared in theaters with DuckTales: The Movie (1990) and on DVD/video with Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas (1999).

Scrooge is alive and well. He's even outlived Alan Young, a comedic actor who was able to sound like Scrooge sometimes...when the situation called for it. :)

What are we all worried for? Uncle Scrooge McDuck will probably be alive and well 500 years from now. 8)

Don Rosa is talking about the realistic timeline he created for his Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck comic series (which was excellent, I might add). He is not saying there couldn't be cartoons made since 1967 that have Scrooge McDuck in them.
