Yeah i also think pre 2020s, consoles, phones, electronics etc. were more of a 12+ thing, whereas now literally even 2 year olds carry them around. Over a year ago around June when i was working in this not named place there was a mother in line with her 2-4 year old toddler in his stroller and i was so shocked to see him carry his own tablet scrolling through tiktok and i was like would be a great opportunity for TS5 to discuss that social commentary and here we are.

I believe this digression was about acknowledging you were openly rude to hardbackyoyo, not the first member you've done it to, I guess because you think dogpiling somebody alongside PatchOfBlue will cause someone who disagrees with you to self-censor and stop posting. I feel like it's going to be much the same situation as Inside Out 2 where people are going to be so impressed that they roped something like "anxiety attacks" into a children's film that no one's going to care if it's done well--gracefully in the context of the narrative or acutely in the context of the real world issue it's trying to represent.

I personally thought Inside Out 2 was well-done. Same with Zootopia 2--neither are quite as refined as their originals, but good in a more unexceptional way.

Interesting that the poster has a similar arrangement to Lilo & Stitch's style of marketing just like Zootopia 2 did. I haven't looked at Hoppers' marketing, but I expect something similar for Hexed. Following the money, I guess. Personally, I think this one looks interesting, but I did feel the same way about 4 and it was weaker than the others. I think the idea of a new "toy" that is hostile to the others will be a different plot. On another forum, they noted that the lilypad could expose the toys to the humans potentially, although I doubt they'd ever do that. But IDK, maybe they could have a different relationship with Bonnie where they actually communicate with her, then in follow-up films, that would be a reason why she would never abandon them as she gets older and maybe also a reason for her to seek Andy out to give the toys back to him--for him to know they're sentient, too, possibly or at least for him to give them to his own children.

Apparently there was a Funko revealed for this of a new girl holding Jessie and Bull's-eye. I don't necessarily know if it means that they have a new owner at the end of the movie, since it could be a scene in the movie where they're temporarily trapped somewhere or something, but the likelihood is higher I think that they end up with different owners.

Maybe at the end of the film the toys and lilypad eventually become friends, and the lilypad helps them find owners who actually are interested in the individual toys (the girl is dressed in cowgirl clothes) through Amazon or eBay since Bonnie finds them boring. Or, who knows, maybe it could be Andy's daughter? I'm not sure how old Bonnie is here or how long it's been.

This looks so much better than 4. That said, the audience exhaustion and derision at that "5" in the title was palpable when the preview played while I was at the movies seeing The Devil Wears Prada 2 yesterday.

Maybe a note for future franchises they can take from this. The numbers are good early on, but once you're at 5, might be best to resort to subtitles to distract from what number the franchise has built out to. I think just calling the next two Frozen films III and IV should be alright. Just after that, move on to some kind of subtitle? IDK, maybe it might be okay because of the Roman numerals--silly as it is, "Frozen V" just looks better than "Frozen 5"--but things like Zootopia or Moana won't have that little difference to help them.
