Pirates Of the Caribbean DVD..?

Post by rogue588 »

I realize that this might be a 'lil too soon to talk about, but I believe there are some "Insiders" that frequent the forums so..

Has there been any *Insider* rumblings regarding the content of the forthcoming DVD..?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll put some archival material about the ride on it...

I think stuff about the ride would be cool. I'm sure we will hear mention of the sequel set to come out.

But I'm afraid I don't have any real info.

Well I predict it will include the movie! Really do we need to be talking about this now? It's still going strong at the Box Office. :? There's lots of other DVDs to look forward to.

The only prediction I'm willing to make is it will come in two versions - one widescreen and one full screen. Also being a Jerry Bruckheimer film there might be one of those useless "Action Overload" featurettes which show all the best bits from the movie in a couple of minutes to a pumped up soundtrack. Useful for all those without any patience I expect :)
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I'm not so sure.

If Disney keep modify, editing and changing aspect ratios, so the ORIGINAL versions don't appear on home DVD, then we might not see the actual movie eventually.

"This movie has been modified from its original format. It is now a Police Academy film".

You are right though - the film hasn't even been released here yet, waaaaay to early to be talkign about the DVD.

All I have is a release date. Sorry.
Jim Hill Media previously announced that the hit movie would be released on DVD on December 2, now USA Today confirms that it will be released "in December with a treasure chest of extras."
