It's interesting how many times the same artwork has been modified throughout the years.

Mediocre cover, though not as bad as some of the covers for the other Don Bluth films. Still, I wish they would go with the art from the theatrical poster.

Also, do we really need "The Original Movie" inserted there underneath the title? Just because they've released a bazillion horrible DTV sequels, do they expect us to not know which film it is? lol

Anyway, I'm glad this is finally coming to Blu. I've got Nimh and Anastasia. Still gotta get An American Tail. Probably won't bother with the rest.

I wonder why they cut out the T-Rex this time? I guess this movie would be too dangerous for kids who watch those awful sequels.

I was actually hoping for this after An American Tail on Blu-Ray was released for the first time in it's original theatrical aspect ratio and not in full screen. Now another of my favorite Don Bluth movies is finally getting the same treatment that it should have gotten on DVD or LaserDisc a long time ago.

Kinda surprised they are doing another one. Not sure whether to be excited or lol

A DVD box set with all 14 movies dubbed The Land Before Time: The Complete Collection has been released.




A compilation album titled The Best Songs from The Land Before Time has been released on digital. This is the second compilation album released, with the first being The Songs from The Land Before Time.

They are releasing a 30th anniversary edition DVD that includes 5 movies and a playset.

Thanks for posting. TLBT is one of my favorite animated films, and I've always thought TLK was similar to it. Both parent deaths make me cry, but Littlefoot's mother's death always hit me harder. Partly because Littlefoot talks to her in the dark as she's dying, but also because he then imagines he sees her in shadows and clouds.

The soundtrack is getting a new release with an expanded score this year. It's exclusive to Intrada.

I saw a clip from one of the sequels on youtube and It has a great image quality. It looks like a Blu ray. I don't expect them to release the sequels on BR but do you think if they restored some of them?
I've been feelin nostalgic lately about the saga and I'm collecting the DVDs because I think that the covers are cute!
