Weird choice.

Give me a documentary about Walt Disney wining and dining 1960’s celebrities at Club 33 instead, please.

This seems next level desperate to me, but honestly hearing the "Clue" comparison has me thinking I could go for this IF and only if it ended up being a murder mystery set in the Disney Parks

I agree, a murder mystery set at a magical dining club sounds like a really cool premise on its own.

It’s such a downer that it’s tied to the Club 33 IP, though. And it is an IP, now. There are, I think, half a dozen Club 33’s scattered around the various Disney parks now, although membership remains exclusive and expensive. Still, I think trying to turn Club 33 into a movie (franchise?) takes away some of its real world allure. Just a shame…

Of course I’ve never been to Club 33, but when I worked park entry at Magic Kingdom, I scanned in a guest who had (if I remember correctly) a black entry pass that had the Club 33 logo on it. Visiting the club, particularly the original Disneyland location, is a dream bucket list item, definitely.

We went on a Disneyland tour maybe 10 years ago where they took you through the entrance lobby and you saw the elevator to the dining area which is on the second floor.
We’d love to join but can’t justify the expense even if we knew we’d be accepted as members.

A fictional Club 33 movie doesn’t interest me at all.

Q: Any updates regarding the announced “Club 33” movie?

Skyler Shuler: Sadly, I have not heard anything about this movie in quite some time. What I did hear a long time ago was that Rob Letterman (Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, Goosebumps) was being considered to direct.

I guess we haven't known enough about the project to truly mourn it, but it was still one of the more curious hypotheticals floated in recent days.

I'll admit, though, while I enjoyed "Detective Pikachu," that's not a value I'd ever think to plug into anything "Club 33."
