Thanks DisneyFan09. You know, I mostly agree with you, except it is really only "A Guy Like You" that bothers me in the film. I find the rest of the comedy fine.
To quote Maui: You`re welcome
Don`t get me wrong, I don`t like A Guy Like You either and I find it to be jarringly out of place. But it`s wasn`t the only flaw for me. But the comedy that I actually like in the movie, is the wisecracks from both Phoebus and Frollo`s dark lines.
I suppose for me it's TSitS and Raya. At least those are two films I've loved that I know there's little general interest in. At least The Black Cauldron and Treasure Planet both have a bit of a cult following (as do Robin Hood and Atlantis). The Great Mouse Detective is one of those films that I think is fairly good that's generally slept on.
Listening to most often lately:
Abi Carter ~ "Part of Your World" (live)
Taylor Swift ~ "The Alchemy"
Taylor Swift ~ "The Prophecy"
Like you, I love Raya so much. I wonder if future generations will latch onto it. I wonder if the reception around it would have been different had it not been released during the pandemic...
