Who's the fourth Spider-Man?
A little spoiler for those who have not seen the latest Spider-Man movie:
We meet three different Spider-Men; Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield And Tom Holland.
All persons, both villains, heroes and ordinary people, who knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man is entering Tom Holland's Spider-Man universe.
In the post credit scenes of Venom and Spider-Man, we learn that Venom is one of those who ends up in the Holland universe. When Doctor Strange cast his spell, they are all transported back to their original universes.
I always assumed Venom was part of the Holland universe because of the arrangement between Disney and Sony, but that doesn't seem to be the case. And Venom clearly knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.
Neither Maguire or Garfield (or Miles Morales for that matter) has ever met Venom, at least not this version. So there has to be another Spider-Man in Venom's universe. Which we have not seen yet.
Which could mean Sony could introduce us to yet another Spider-Man in a Venom sequel. If the audience wants it, remains to be seen (assuming they really do plan another Spider-Man).
