Really loving these first three looks. Cinderella is very Grace Kelly, and I absolutely adore Ariel’s 80’s glam rock look— it’s a great synthesis of the period and the character’s personality. Belle’s does not scream early 90’s to me, but perhaps I am missing the reference?

I tried to get the Snow White doll. I loved her, I loved the 1930s starlet look! but she was sold out by the time I was able to get access to the site. I liked the Jasmine and Ariel doll too.

Lol, same. The Snow White one was absolutely gorgeous. I loved Jasmine and Ariel too.

The Cinderella one was disappointing because her hair on the doll didn't resemble the actual art pictured. And frankly, they should have given her titian hair since the whole reason Walt Disney gave her that hair color in the movie was because it was in vogue during the 1950s.

I didn’t even know these had been turned into dolls. I’m not really a doll person, but they all look great as dolls except for Ariel and Tiana (even though I liked the designs). I’d rather get the pins if it was me.

But Cinderella's hair looks the same except for the bangs. And maybe her hair was titian because they thought it was beautiful, too.

I only like Cinderella and Snow White's. I guess Tiana's is ok.

I like all of the outfits except Tiana's. I wish they'd given this treatment to the rest of the princesses as well.

I'm dying to see Pocahontas in mid-90s fashions especially since I remember that Harper's Bazaar had a Pocahontas edition. I'd love to see Aurora as well in 50s fashions.
If the line is popular, it might get a second wave completing the princesses.

Disney has re-uploaded the "Castle Games" video but they renamed it to "Castle Tag", modified some of the dialogue, and changed the ending. Was Rapunzel kissing Eugene on the cheek too tawdry for them? :?

Here's what was changed.

They removed the original version from YouTube. As to why they changed it, your guess is as good as mine.

It's rare you see officially licensed merch with the princesses that include Meg, Esmeralda, and Alice, so I thought I'd share. It reminded me of the early '00s where the line-up hadn't solidified yet and they were included at times. Interestingly, for Cinderella they used a screenshot from Cinderella III: A Twist in Time.

The picture of Cinderella is from Twist in Time, isn't it? A shame they didn't get something from the original to go along with the others. I do miss the days of seeing Megara on DP merchandise all the time.

Interesting. I never would have expected to see them on any official Disney merchandise.

I love seeing all the 2D heroines only, especially with additions like Alice and Esmeralda.

lol I know of someone who hates the hell out of Esmeralda and Megara so they'd be fuming at seeing this calendar with them next to their beloved classics.

I think at this point I've given up and think it'd be neat to have them on the line. they deserve it. and hey, for fans of them, if they get more merch, then better, yes?

I am sooo not happy right now, Disney Store is finally making dolls of Meg, Esmeralda, and Giselle and Edward...but they are part of the Disney Designer collection for D23 which means I will probably NEVER be able to get them, thanks to them being limited (and those damn scalpers.) So unfaaaaair. :x

Here's the Tumblr post I found the info that also lists all the other exclusive merch for D23. Its nice to see them focus on the non- princess heroines for once but its so crappy of them to make them expensive limited editions.

Wow, the day has finally come when Disney is making dolls for Esmeralda, Meg, and even Giselle and Edward. Poor Jane and Kida get left out as usual but at least Jane has the excuse of Disney not being able to make merchandise for her, unlike Kida. Edward never even got a doll the first time around so I'm really psyched to see him finally get some merchandise. Maybe if these dolls are popular enough, they can get regular ones in the Disney Store as part of the playline.

Hahhaa, somebody must be fuming super hard and might be worried that they'll overtake Aurora's place or some nonsense like that. :D
