Toy Story 4
Re: Toy Story 4
Its not a spoiler, its baseless fan speculation, probably from some random youtube comment. It likely is not his son, the room wouldn't still look as it did in the 90s. It even has the old yellow chair at the desk. that was replaced by the time toy story 3 came around with a blue computer char. That's just one of many examples of how the room has changed over the years.

They just can't leave things alone, can they? They tweaked Bonnie's face and even changed Andy's shirt!
What's the point of doing that? This is so frustrating!

Re: Toy Story 4
I finally saw the full trailer... awww it looks cute! I guess Im just a sucker for these guys, Im always in for another adventure with them. I suppose Ill enjoy it like I enjoyed Incredibles 2, just another fun romp with characters that are fun to "catch up on." Don't know if I'll see it in the theater or wait til I can watch it at home, it doesn't seem like anything mind blowing or Oscar worthy, just a good time.

Source: https://deadline.com/2019/03/toy-story- ... 202581180/Young actress Madeleine McGraw is taking on the character of Bonnie in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4, slated to hit theaters in June.
McGraw, who was part of the voice cast of Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3, played the young version of Evangeline Lilly’s Hope character (a.k.a Wasp) in Disney/Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. She is perhaps best known for her series regular role on Cinemax’s Outcast series and will appear in the soon-to-be-released James Wan-produced supernatural thriller, The Curse of La Llorona, at Warner Bros.

Trailers are deceiving. Besides, most here don't feel like TS3 was Oscar-worthy either and yet it was...unprincess wrote:Don't know if I'll see it in the theater or wait til I can watch it at home, it doesn't seem like anything mind blowing or Oscar worthy, just a good time.

New still and more book covers.
Re: Toy Story 4
Its interesting that Mr Potatoe Head doesn't get much exposure...those book covers are just one thing to go by...more reason for me not to get too over excited for this movie

Maybe he's not in the books because he is owned by Hasbro and they didn't want to pay the licensing fee?REINIER wrote:Its interesting that Mr Potatoe Head doesn't get much exposure...those book covers are just one thing to go by...more reason for me not to get too over excited for this movie
Re: Toy Story 4
When the first film was released, he wasn't really featured in much of the merchandising. He wasn't even a character in the Activity Center and I think that is because of the copyright.

I think this article is essential reading for those who still have doubts about this movie:

They wont even tell us who's playing him. I have a feeling he wont be very present. Maybe he, along with most of bonnie's toys will get sidelined in this movie to give screentime to woody, bo, and the new toys.REINIER wrote:Its interesting that Mr Potatoe Head doesn't get much exposure...those book covers are just one thing to go by...more reason for me not to get too over excited for this movie

Yeah, it doesn't even seem like Jessie has much of a role in this film which is a shame.

Looks awfully like an ad for Toy Story Land... hmmm I'm starting to wonder Disney's intentions behind this sequel

Thanks, Sotiris! It had a lot of new footage! And Mr. Potato Head finally speaks in it! Here's the English version of the trailer from Disney UK and another poster.Sotiris wrote:French poster and trailer featuring new footage.
Re: Toy Story 4
I believe that potatohead sound byte is just a generic stock phrase of Rickles, they used it frequently during the promotion of ts3 and other projects. The same goes for Jessie's yeehaw.
At least she had quite a bit of focus in Toy Story of Terror, which I thought was pretty good. That's probably all the focus she needs. But yes, it would be nice to get more than some forgettable liners in this. I am however in favor of less characters overall. As much as I loved toy story 3, I miss the type of scenes you got in toy story 2, where you had scenes with just 3 characters or so. You get more character development, with actual acting. That's harder to do when you have to juggle a ton of characters and everyone is supposed to get something to say.JeanGreyForever wrote:Yeah, it doesn't even seem like Jessie has much of a role in this film which is a shame.

Keanu Reeves seriously loves his Toy Story 4 character, Duke Caboom
