Which film deserves to be represented at Disneyland?

Post by DARTH KNITE »

There are several popular movies they have no rides or anything themed to them in Disneyland. (yet Mr. Toad and Splash Mountain live on??) What would like to see get a permanent attraction? P.S. I didn't list Toy Story because, Buzz is getting a ride next year.

Ummm, the Little Mermaid is represented. She has her own Grotto which is one of the main character meet and greets.

I also see no reason to end Mr Toad. or Splash Mountain. They are two of my favorites.

Believe me, I don't want Mr. Toad or Splash mountain to end, I just think it's interesting that they're there when so many other are not. Also, I was talking about a permanent attraction. Just being able to meet a character wasn't exactly what I meant. But I guess Little Mermaid does sorta have one.

And two others that arent listed

The former sub ride will apparently get a Finding Nemo overlay. I have also heard that Monsters Inc. may be overlaid over the perpetually rehabbed Superstar Limo in DCA. A second proposal is to tear down from Millionaire to Hollywood and Dine(which includes Limo) and billed the Aerosmith Rock N Roll Coaster(from Disney/MGM) where it all stands.

Since they already have both Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella castles at the various parks, I think it would be really cool to have a BATB castle. It can look dark and gothic during the day, and light up at night as if the spell has been broken.

Plus, they could have a "Be Our Guest" restaraunt inside, with character walking around while you eat and performances. And if you go upstairs, you can enter the West Wing and look at the rose. Cool factor: If you touch the rose, you hear the Beast say "What are you DOING IN HERE?! GET OUT!" :D

I think they should have a number of rides based on some of those films. I'll agree with Jack that they should do a Beauty and the Beast castle. They did something similar to his idea with the Sleeping Beauty castle in Paris, only there's no restaurant, instead a shop and a little gallery. I think if they do a Disneyland in England that they should do a Beauty and the Beast castle.

Now, onto the other films. I think that a Cinderella or Robin Hood dark ride would be quite good, although they seem a wee bit lighthearted bright and unscary for a ride.

By the way, whoever said that Splash Mountain should be axed should get a life. One of my fondest memories of going to Disney World at age 9 was riding that ride twice.

I think they should build Aladdin's palace somewhere too!
