In the Disney music vaults lay one of the most important music tracks for SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES. There's the James Horner score which was actually used for the film but MORE IMPORTANTLY is the UNUSED score by Georges DELERUE -- the originally commissioned composer. Delerue created one of the most beautifully sinister eerie tone-poems EVER CREATED FOR A MOTION PICTURE !!!! Yet few can appreciate this masterpiece and one of the greatest scores ever composed by this late French genius !!!
I implore Disney to issue BOTH the Horner and Delerue scores on one CD -- this would be one of the great soundtrack CD releases of our time !!
On the same subject I would also ask Disney music to issue Barry's THE BLACK HOLE as well as David Shire's RETURN TO OZ, now that the DVD rights are back with Disney.
