Pixar tied with DreamWorks for the most with 4 each. Another reason why WDAS are doing sequels to Ralph & Frozen, they so desperately want to be on this this

Frozen'll definitely be on this list after the sequel. The first one already made more than #10.

Extremely unlikely. Ralph 2 would need to gross over $700 million world wide to get the #10 spot. Meanwhile The Incredibles 2
is being pegged to gross a Billion next summer, so that would knock Dragons off the list. But Dragons will knock Monsters Inc. of the list in 2019 with How to train your Dragon 3, which should do another $500+million worldwide. Other than Frozen which should take the #4 spot with Frozen 2 is Zootopia 2.

The list has been updated. I wonder how much it will change again with The Secret Life of Pets 2, How to Train Your Dragon 3, Frozen 2, and Toy Story 4 all being released in 2019. Then in 2020 we have The Croods 2, Trolls 2, Minions 2, Sing 2, and SpongeBob SquarePants 3.

Hopefully Frozen 2 will push that franchise up to at least number 8. HTTYD3 will help that series pass Monsters, Inc. at least. Frozen will be the first WDAS "series" on the list. This is why I've always said the transition to 3D wasn't just about higher grosses, but about turning every property into a trilogy / franchise the way Dreamworks and PIXAR have done.

Frozen and Lion King wiping the floor with the top 4 (when they only have two movies each versus 5-6 each for those four). Thinking about it now, I'm surprised Simba's Pride wasn't released theatrically back when considering what a juggernaut TLK is. I think that one would've deserved it more than things like Return to Neverland and The Jungle Book 2, SP is one of the better of the DTV sequels. I'm actually surprised Toy Story and Finding Nemo aren't higher, I thought those were huge properties. I've never got the appeal of the Despicable Me films, although I concede the first Minions movie was cute (haven't seen the second one yet). I remember my first boss loved Minions for some reason, someone gave her a Christmas gift of one.

Good for Kung Fu Panda just making the list; it's my favorite of the Dreamworks franchises no doubt.
