Do you think the best thing will be to just do it when I'm there and see whats available ? Or do Disney not really do room - only deals ?

I'm (extremely happily) off to Disneyland Paris in January for my birthday with my boyfriend and his family. All of us are staying at Santa Fe from Thurday - Sunday, but I was wondering if I could upgrade for one of the nights to stay at maybe the Disney hotel ? Online, it looks like I can only get a package deal with tickets etc as well, but I will already have them booking the whole trip already.
Do you think the best thing will be to just do it when I'm there and see whats available ? Or do Disney not really do room - only deals ?
