Best Buy KILL BILL EXCLUSIVE!!!

Post by Sulley »

I know there are some Kill Bill fans here (I'm a HUGE one), and I definitely know there are DVD collectors here who like the way things look on their shelves :D (I hope I will be able to post a pic of my DVD collection soon). Anyways, I was reading today's Best Buy ad in my newspaper, and starting Tuesday, if you buy Vol. 1 OR Vol. 2 (Available Tuesday) of Kill Bill from a Best Buy store, you get a free KILL BILL Slipsleeve that holds both VOLUMES! It has the original poster art (The Bride's hand holding the Hanzo sword with "Kill Bill" written on her handkerchief, all silhouetting some Japanese letters), and is labeled "The 4th Film By Quentin Tarantino" on the front AND on the spine. For me this is fantastic news, for in a very cool way it reinforces the fact that Kill Bill IS one film!!! Hope this is good news to some people here at UD!

The Slipsleeve is free if you buy Vol. 1 or Vol. 2, but you can also order it by itself for $7.99, if you happened to have already pre-ordered the movie from somewhere other than Best Buy. (Fortunately not the case for me). I recommend the $15.99 purchase of Vol. 2 and getting the cover free. Here's a link to Best Buy's info on it. It's so COOL! :o :

Is this it, no Volume 3 in the works? I was thinking I'd wait until the end, since I am tired of double dipping. BTW I thought I read somewhere a collectors edition was underway? :?

Yes. Tarantino plans on editing both volumes into one massive 4 hour film and will release that version to DVD with extensive supplements. I'm not sure when this is due, but my guess is next year.
