Disney Store: Aladdin Presale
Just wandering how many people are disappionted that with this years release of Aladdin that the Disney Store isn't preordering the Gift Set like they did for Lion King last year? I've been writing back and forth and haven't gotten a straight answer from them yet. I'm not wanting to go out and purchase 2 seperate copies just to get lithos but seems like this year I'm don't have an option. Any comments?

I too am deeply dissapointed. I would absolutely adore the Gift Set if it came with the lithos and the pen/plush set. I would actually be willing to play a little more for the whole she-bang. I don't know why Disney is so adament about having so many offers when you can't get the whole pot. However, know matter how much I want the whole alpha matter, I don't see my self paying for the DVD twice over just for the litho graphs. If anyone here works at a Disney Store and would like to donate to the Prince Eric fund with a set of lithographs, feel free to PM.

I'm pre-ordering Home on the Range, but I'm holding out on Mulan because I don't want to get a copy with a damaged slipcover. I don't want to seem idiotic asking for a replacement once I get it.

I too would definately preorder if I could get the gift set in-store, but as I can't, I'll have to pass on the bonus lithos.

OK, I'm confused. I go to www.disneystore.com to check the status of the Gift Set regularly, and as far as I can see, they're onl yplacing orderse of the regular release. Is this the same as the actual stores as well? I don't mind waiting until the day of release to buy the Gift Set. However, I want the lithographs as well!

Last year at the Disney store where I work at, we never got the gift set for TLK in stock, nor did we pre-order it. As far as I know, the actual stores only pre-order for the regular release and not the gift set. Unfortunatly, we don't have the offer with plush/pins in the store and we didn't last year with TLK either. Just FYI.

Has anyone else noticed that in the advertisement at the Disney store, for the Aladdin pre-sale, they show an incorrect litho and the incorrect cover art?
It seems very sloppy on their part.
Last year when I went to the Disney Store and asked about the Lion King Gift Set, they thought I made it up...

Your question can mean two things, so I'll just address them both:
If you mean what is a litho, a litho (short for lithograph) is picture on hard paperboard that you can frame and hang up, like a poster only much smaller. Lithos can either be an actual frame from the film or it can be a specially done picture of the characters posing or something.
If you mean what are the lithos Aladdin comes with, you can see them here: http://disney.store.go.com/DSSectionPag ... 6_HPL8_TXT
