Re: Frozen: Part IV
Well, people are shocked by the spoilers about the presence or not of villains or love, who is villain or not, who is getting love or not... Personnally, i'm much more worried about the script itself. The trolls scene and song seems full of humor, fantasy, joy and typical Disney charm, but.... I know the pages we saw are scattered and incomplete, but... i'm confused and disappointed : some facts occurs at strange moments, for illogical reasons. It´s too much complicated. Characters act in caricatural and violent ways. It´s all about death, death, love, and Arendelle political matters in fact...
The most shocking is
- So Anna makes all this way to the ice palace... to get frozenhearted ACCIDENTLY by Elsa ?Weird.
- So Anna getting a frozen heart, but the only symptom she is having is big chills, sometimes, then going into a gore kind of agony ?Weird
- the final sacrifice trick, at the end, like in Tangled, again ???? Pffffff....
- pages and pages oh Hans lying, manipulating ! His trichery and conspiracy are too much, too long and complex
- HANS CUTTING ELSA'S HEAD WITH A VICIOUS GRIN, OMG, what it this ???[/spoiler] Never saw such nonsense and violence in a Disney Movie, i won't bring my little nieces see such a thing !!!!
- All Anna's body turning to ice suddenly, just when the sword hits her ? Weird. Silly.
Anyway, like with Brave, Princess and Frog and so, when Disney makes up thinks too much instead of staying faithful to the original tale's path, it sucks, it´s far-fetched !!! I'm sad it´s my first big doubt about the movie. HOPE i'M ALL WRONG and all that in the actual movie is more logical, fluid and harmonious.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
Oy, this board is turning ridiculous to me, but not because of you who couldn't resist to be spoiled, but because of the previews of the books that leaked online (thanks Google Books!!).
It is no-sense and unfair to the production crew who STILL work hard on this movie to be completed that the ending has been spoiled this way, and so soon!
I can't blame fans who want to get the spoilers (I like spoilers too sometimes) and well, it's easy for me because I know the story for a while now, but you miss some major scenes that were not depicted or leaked apparently and don't forget that the production updated some of the scenes regularly (as for Ralph, Brave, Tangled etc...), until the end of the production.
I guess now most of you know the major plots and well, just wait to discover the overall finished movie to understand how the storylines and characters connections work together.
No use to act like a drama-queen : Tangled was both a drama and comedy in the same vein of Frozen (did you forget how Gothel stabbed Flynn?).
Anyway, knowing the story, nothing bothered me personnaly and everything is wrapped pretty well for an 1 hour and an half approximatively animated-feature.
Most of the Disney books detailed much more some of the scenes, some others are very evasive and just a sum-up.
Also, the artists and crew at Publishing must work at the same time of the Studio production, so it's very hard to be on the same level at the same time you know.
And, I'm tired of this black-hidden lines thread, lol!!
Just wait for the next trailer for example, we still have time before the release of Frozen in theaters.

Yeah, and plus: come on, we all saw Hans. being the villain coming. So why the complains? Besides Elsa, being single. But, at least, all of you aren't acting like the Elsa fangirls on IMDB.Edthehyena wrote:Thanks Prince ! I think it's just what we all needed to hear to ease our minds and regain confidence. And yeah, i'm looking forward to the troll song and the scene. It sounds absouletely beautiful and the scene may be very gorgeous!
While I think the plot has too much going on (Ha, even I don't know how ALL this will work out), we don't know if it flows well or a jumbled mess. We'll find out in Novemberbut... i'm confused and disappointed : some facts occurs at strange moments, for illogical reasons. It´s too much complicated. For me, it's all about the execution. Some of these plot points don't sound all that great on paper, but they might work on film. I've seen it before.

And lets keep in mind, Junior Novelizations are 'dumbed down', for lack of better term, for the kids to read and understand. So I'm sure things will flow much better on screen. We just have to have faith, and be patient.
And ignore the Frozen tag on Tumblr because it is RIDIC.

You think that's RIDIC, look at the FROZEN IMDB message boards.Miss Manday wrote:And lets keep in mind, Junior Novelizations are 'dumbed down', for lack of better term, for the kids to read and understand. And yeah, at a PATF book (I think the Golden Books one), Dr. Facilier's death was totslly toned down. So, not only are things bound to be different, but also: Hans will get a MUCH better sendoff. Because getting punched in the face is such a bad defeat to an awesome villain.
Re: Frozen: Part IV
I hope Hans gets killed off as I predict we are going to get a lot of shit fanfiction if he doesn't.

off-topic : and yes, remember what a special kind of murderer Gothel was, stabbing Flynn without a single drop of redPrince Kido wrote: : Tangled was both a drama and comedy in the same vein of Frozen (did you forget how Gothel stabbed Flynn?)
Re: Frozen: Part IV
I never understood whey they didn't just make her wipe the blood off with her cape(?) before showing us the knife. She could have wiped it off while talking to rapunzel.Edthehyena wrote:off-topic : and yes, remember what a special kind of murderer Gothel was, stabbing Flynn without a single drop of redPrince Kido wrote: : Tangled was both a drama and comedy in the same vein of Frozen (did you forget how Gothel stabbed Flynn?)... Thank you Prince Kido, for clearing things up.
Disneyprincess11, although I did think there was something strange about Hans, I didn't think of him to be evil. Phony, sexy, hot, handsome douchebag not your classic villain. It's strange how some people identified him as the "nice guy". I think a "nice guy" can be an antagonist, but nothing to Malificient's level.,but man..nice guys are usually in denial
Re: Frozen: Part IV
I actually like that. Tangled was wayyy too bright for me. How about Beauty and the Beast or Hunchback? The best are always aimed at adults too, not just children. Though I will say this.. If they screw up this movie like they did with Tangled, i'm gonna lose all hope.Edthehyena wrote:It´s all about death, death, love, and Arendelle political matters in fact...

Whh..Where did you find those???? I read the book pages twice I didn't read that!
Keep in mind:
- Disney has used the whole "sacrifice" thing so many times now, that i'm sure they bought the rights to it. And honestly, I don't mind, it increases the risk and is an act of love. Also, they are not all identical.
-Ralph did sacrifice himself.
-Flynn didn't sacrifice himself by jumping in front of the knife, he let himself die because he didn't want Rapunzel to live the rest of her life with Gothel (it's actually the ONLY thing I like about him)
-Ray didn't sacrifice himself, he got squashed.
I could go on, the list is long. but most characters have their own sacrifice.
- Violence in Disney is not something new, and honestly, I'm happy they're going back to it. As for the whole, beheading thing, Fergus almost cut off his wife's head..Also, There is no way Disney will go all Quentin Tarentino on the audience.
- I'm assuming they're trying to maintain a G rating, keep that in mind.
- What we read in that site might be the final version. Am I the only one who sees that?
And once again, I must mention that this is not an adaptation of The Snow Queen. It is their original story about 2 sisters, one with the ability to play around with snow.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
^Actually, they're probably shooting for a PG rating, same as Tangled and Wreck-it Ralph.

Really, everything these days is rated PG. Even the upcoming special theatrical release of Wizard of Oz has been switched from G to PG.

Yeah, PG used to be edgy until they made PG-13 and you can thank Steven Steilberg for that.Miss Manday wrote:Really, everything these days is rated PG. Even the upcoming special theatrical release of Wizard of Oz has been switched from G to PG.

Do you blame them? When i was 5, I watched it at my grandparents for like 5 seconds and it was the part where the Witch is like, "AUNTIE EM!" And I ran out of the room.Miss Manday wrote:Really, everything these days is rated PG. Even the upcoming special theatrical release of Wizard of Oz has been switched from G to PG.

That's hilarious! I mean, I know "Oz" has scary elements, but it's been terrorizing children with a G rating for the last forty or so years...Miss Manday wrote:Really, everything these days is rated PG. Even the upcoming special theatrical release of Wizard of Oz has been switched from G to PG.

Re: Frozen: Part IV
This ain't news by any definition, but it is Frozen related so I just want to say...
The Frozen fandom on tumblr has gone cuckoo for cocoa puffs.
This morning my dash had maybe 30 images with Hans' face Photoshopped on to random things. And now there's a "Late Night With Hans" meme going about and...
It's a very interesting coping mechanism to last week's spoilers, to say the least.
Is it bad to say that I enjoy it?

If this is the same Return to Oz where Dorothy almost gets electroshock therapy, there's a room with decapitated heads everywhere, and these creepy characters called the Wheelers run amok, then I'd say a PG.DisneyEra wrote:What would Disney's The Return to Oz be rated today?
